Village de Gîtes du Lac du Causse

A ten-minute drive from the campsite is the pretty village of Brive la Gaillarde and its traditional market, the famous distillery of Denoix, the Chocolaterie Lamy and the Labenche Museum. Visit Colette's Garden, with its five hectares of flowers, vegetables and trees, and see the famous quarry Les Pans de Travassac, the Gouffre de Lafage and Padirac and the Saint Antoine cave. Lascaux Caves are famous for their Paleolithic cave paintings and are a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Within a 30-45 minute drive are the pretty villages of Turenne et Collonges la Rouge, Curemonte and Saint Robert, listed as among the most beautiful in France. You should also explore the medieval town of Sarlat, a few kilometres north of the River Dordogne. Walk along the winding medieval streets and see the lovely Place de la Liberté and the outstanding cathedral. A tennis court is available 8km from the site.
