This site is well placed for exploring the Pink Granite Coast, which runs north from Lannion (10 minutes’ drive). There are lots of different ways to check out this gorgeous coastal scenery, including walking parts of the GR34 (Sentier des Douaniers) long-distance path or cycling the Vélomaritime bike trail. Paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and coasteering are among the other active options along this stretch of coast – Trébeurden (20 minutes) is a good place to start for sailing and kayak hire as well as swimming. For wild strolls, check out Île-Grande (25 minutes); if you’d rather just head straight to a sandy beach, plan trips to Saint Michel-en-Grève (15 minutes) or Trégastel (25 minutes). Ploumanac’h (half an hour) is another popular seaside spot, with traditional seaside villas and boat trips to the Sept-Îles Nature Reserve. Turning inland for a while, you may like to visit 15th-century Tonquedec Castle (10 minutes), climb into the trees at Parcours Aventure Vivons Perchés (25 minutes) or sit out any damp days at Le Radôme - Cité des Télécoms (20 minutes).
