Fairoak Lakes

Tyckte om We had a great time at Fairoaks lakes. The pods are comfortable and have the basics to make your weekend camping much easier. The shared facilities were clean and the water hot.

The location is beautiful on the lakes with quiet woods all around, great for a walk. We saw some bird of prey, nesting swallows and smalls bats at dusk.

The hosts are onsite, very nice and helpful. They have food for the animals (horse, goats, geese and ducks). The kids loved it! There is a small playground for the younger kids.

We highly recommend staying here.

Tyckte om Fairoak Lakes are stunning, hidden in a safe, peaceful spot near Chepstow, accessed via a single track lane. I enjoyed the scenery and birdsong. The woodland trails are just past the lodge through a gate. The ducks and geese are tame. They approach guests and accept bird food that is purchased on site. There are cows and goats in the fields behind the pods. The site is well maintained and family owned. Each pod has an animal name and a forest theme. The pods are cosy with lighting, kettle and a fridge. There is WiFi on the site. The facilities are clean. Each pod has a picnic bench and fire pit. Sitting out to watch the sunset with my senior dog was the highlight of my stay. There are no cars by the pods. The grass is neat. Remember to take towels and a picnic blanket. I did drive to the Spar once to get strawberries. I was onsite just relaxing or walking around the lake and taking photos. I recommend this site for a quiet break and restful sleep.

Tyckte om A beautiful, relaxing getaway — truly a great break. Rio and Joe have done an amazing job looking after the place and were incredibly friendly throughout. All in all, I highly recommend it — such a lovely spot!

Tyckte om Was an Amazing weekend break couldn't fault anything the pod was comfortable and clean with comfortable bed and pillows with all the kitchen accessories you needed .The horse and goats so friendly our grandchildren loved feeding them and the ducks.Toilets and shower facilities where spotlessly clean ,and Rio and Joe was there if you needed anything very friendly lots of knowledge on the surroundings. Will definitely be going back .

Tyckte om With two adventurous and outdoorsy boys, Fairoak lakes was simply perfect. A tranquil and stunning location, in the midst of picturesque forest, we spotted a kingfisher and some deer. The peace and quiet is indescribable, the owners were friendly and welcoming and fantastic with my sons and the animals both wild and tame were fascinating.
I cannot recommend this place enough, it took my breath away and I will definitely return

Tyckte om Wildlife, plus friendly goats, horse and ducks, incredibly peaceful with small play area, WiFi (and ducks and animals) to keep kids entertained. The pods were fantastic, cosy and clean.

Tyckte om Picturesque, excellent, peaceful location, with fantastic views and really well looked after site, the owner was really welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t recommend it more, Great facilities for all ages. Very clean and tidy faculties. Wifi was excellent, No fault in the site 5 star for everything.

Tyckte om Gorgeous peaceful site, photos don’t do it justice! The pod was lovely, spacious and cozy, with its own deck and chairs/table. Thoughtfully included a small fridge, kettle, toaster, proper sized mugs for tea, tumblers and BBQ utensils. There is a cute little electric fire which is super efficient! Enclosed shower/toilet/sink units were well proportioned and always well stocked and cleaned. Eggs and animal feed available from an honesty box by the showers and yes I spent all weekend feeding the ducks. We had the most wholesome, lovely break! Coal was available to purchase for the BBQ as well as logs for the firepit (each pod has its own which is fab). Honestly feel blessed to have found this little gem. I also loved the detailed welcome email we got beforehand, and they were really responsive and friendly. We only had a couple of days but will definitely return for a longer period!
