Tyckte om Loved everything about this site think this will be our go too now . It’s spotless the staff are so lovely and friendly we stayed by the lake and went paddle boarding it was perfect . The fishing is great too . The bar is very reasonable and the price of the food spot on . We all had the best time so thank you to all the lovely staff felt so welcome.

Tyckte om The atmosphere and friendliness was excellent. Pitcheswere great and the fishing on the canal was good.

Tyckte inte om Basic washing up facilities. Sink had food debris in there during the two days we camped.

Tyckte om Relaxed stay with friendly staff. Solid pitches with easy access. Fishing is awesome. Kids had fun in Madoc Lake. Great for dogs. Dedicated fishing really close to pitches.

Tyckte inte om Not really a dislike more of an observation. Tent pitch field had lots of dog poop from irresponsible owners. Maybe poop bins might encourage the lazy ones. Showers get dirty from clay bottom pool and toilets are full of moths.

The lakes are clay lined and again unfortunately some guests let their children put clay on the toilet walls which is hard to remove, doors left open at night will attract moths

Tyckte om Peaceful, Beautiful site. Spacious, very well maintained pitches. Friendly staff. Bar and pizzeria, with a covered outdoor area.
The whole group enjoyed the swimming lake, paddle boards and swimming. Youngest of the group now wants to take up fishing .
We loved the goats roaming round.

Tyckte inte om Not many showers an toilets so you need to be semi self sufficient. The showered by the lake were left in a right mess after day visits used them. But cleaned in the evening.
Could do "check-in" parking bays as when we arrived the car park was full and hard to park up, check in and drive(reverse) with a car, trailer and large van .
Benches around camp could do with repair or replacement before someone gets hurt.

Unfortunately we cannot control how other guests disrespect the site and sadly there are guests that do this, we do try to check the toilet block as often as we can. Again this goes for the benches that we supply on each pitch, it would be easier for us not to do so as we are always having to repair them due to the not being used correctly.
The car park was full as it was a bank holiday weekend, usually there is no problem, but a car, trailer and van will be hard to reverse as we are a small site and the car park reflects this when full.
There are 4 showers and 6 toilets on site which is sufficient for the amount of pitches that we have.

Tyckte om Great for fishing and facilities are good.I'll certainly be back one day soon.Went on a Bank Holiday so it was pretty busy,especially with people fishing there.Nice bar and outside seating area.

Tyckte inte om Next pitch to us had a dog roaming loose which was a problem for two days (we had our cat there on a lead )but staff didn't seem bothered about it..Apparently belonged to the partner of a staff member.

Från föreståndaren: Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed our site. We do apologise for any dogs that roam free, we do ask that they are kept on a lead especially staff members dogs. Unfortunately the partner of a staff member did not follow this rule or several other rules which is why as soon as we were notified he was asked to leave, which he did. We do not tolerate any rules being broken that will effect any guests.
To the private feedback writer, thank you for helping out with the caravan fire it was appreciated.

On another note we are glad you all had a lovely time and hope to see you again...with no incidents happening lol

Tyckte om Very nice campsite, pleasantly surprised at how quiet the campsite was. We stayed one night on the serviced pitches, it was large and had a good amount of space between other pitches! The swimming lake looked lovely too. We had a take away toasty and full English from the onsite cafe and it was brilliant! Good service and quality ingredients used. Shame the bar and pizza shut a little early for us but it looked good too!

Tyckte inte om If we were staying longer it would have been nice to have some sort of rack/drying area by the washing up sink.
The toilet and shower could have been a bit better, in cleanliness and quantity but perfectly useable and close to pitches. Understably would be difficult to keep clean being next to the grass pitches and dry ground, sliders in the shower alleviated and issues.

The shower block gets cleaned but could need doing again within 5 minutes due to guests not respecting the facilities.
