Wick River Campsite

Tyckte om Very positive experience. Friendly, informative staff. Decent pitch, great facilities. Taco stall was a plus! Didn’t need to use shop, but it’s handy. Location near to town. Lovely riverside walk nearby. Didn’t use the WiFi.

Pitch first allocated was a tiny corner plot which had collected all the rain over the previous two days! Very boggy and was not helpful with a dog. Quick visit to reception to ask to change to a hard standing, but told they were all gone. Moved to another grass pitch a couple up from ours which was much better. What upset us was that there were a few hard standing pitches not used overnight which we could’ve used. Happy to pay, but were refused.

Från föreståndaren: Thank you for your feedback. You are the first who has left negative comment regarding the shop. Most comments on here and other platforms about the site shop, state how well stocked it is and it is not expensive. We deliberatly do not over inflate our prices and our food items are on par with Tesco prices, and our camping supplies we try to keep below RRP.

If you are allocated a pitch that is not to your likeing we will always try to accomodate you and move you to a pitch which better suits your needs. The issue around hard standing pitches on the night of your stay, they were all fully booked, but we had a couple of expected late arrivals that were no shows, so the empty pitches you saw were allocated to other guests that unfortunetly did not show up.

We hope this has not put you off returning and would love for you to stay with us again.

Tyckte om Basically brand new, great reception staff, great little food shop, nice and clean and lovely setting. Town centre about 15 min walk, had meal at the Alexander pub place, wasn’t bad.
