Parkland Caravan and Camping Site

The on-site shop had pretty much everything.

Tyckte om The location of the site is really good, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The local bus stops right outside the site entrance and you can use it to get to Salcombe, Totnes and Dartmouth (via Kingsbridge). This meant we didn't have to move our camper at all once we'd got set up.
We liked the excellent facilities, which were modern and kept exceptionally clean. We didn't have to wait once for a bathroom, shower room or toilet.
The campsite shop is open 24 hours, very well stocked and items are competitively priced. We also enjoyed relaxing in The Cowshed (customer lounge), which has comfy sofas, flat screen tv, large selection of books, games and dvd's and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. As we only have a small campervan, we appreciated relaxing there and catching up with the international football (also appreciated were the fridges stocked with wine, beer and cold drinks!)
The campsite is really quiet and peaceful and we found it most relaxing. James and Tracey are doing an excellent job!

Tyckte inte om There was hardly anything to dislike and we had a lovely time. The only thing that would have been nice, would be maybe having somewhere safe to take a walk. The local roads are not suitable for strolling!

Tyckte om Facilities, honesty shop, picket fences, nice hosts.

Tyckte inte om Campervans and caravans on the grass tent pitch area. It would feel extra special if it was a tent only area.

Tyckte om Location directly on bus route which suited us as we don't like the problem of parking the motorrhome in public car parks. Although only a 30 minute walk into town it was not safe to do so on the road. We'll kept site, lovely bathrooms with bath/shower, very clean, well stocked shop.

Tyckte inte om You can't walk anywhere from the site but the bus is a good option to get to Salcombe, Totnes, Dartmouth (if you change at Kingsbridge) and can get boat trip back to town. A week is probably enough.

Tyckte om Stayed in the Estuary View shepherds hut. A small hut with a kingside bed! They even managed to fit a small sofa, shelving unit (with hangers), tv, hair dryer and fan in there! There is then a separate side unit with a kitchen and toilet/shower. Kitchen comes complete with all crockery, utensils and cooking equipment. Literally everything you need! They even left us milk, butter, wine and cream in the fridge! Along with some scones, jam and fresh flowers! Toilet and shower were equipped with soap, shampoos, toilet roll. A mini hotel!
Plenty of beaches, shops, pubs and activities just a short drive away!

Tyckte om Exceptionally clean and bathrooms. The vanity room with hair dryers and products was a lovely addition and meant had less to pack knowing facilities were available. The cow shed provided a nice little space to watch TV. Honesty shop was also very handy to pick up those little bits needed without having to go off site.

Tyckte om We love Parkland. It’s not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for!
James and Tracey are brilliant. The facilities are spotless and we particularly love the shop, they have everything you could possibly want or need!
Kingsbridge is within walking distance or a bus ride away via the stop right outside the site. The same bus goes to Salcombe too, so plenty to explore right on the doorstep.
