Tyckte om Location, space, quietness, morning croissant and coffee. Very friendly and helpful owner. Lovely pub up the Rd in Lower Ashton - make sure you book for food.

Tyckte om Loved the open spaces and the peacefulness of the site.

The river walk is beautiful and our dogs were in their elements.

Lots of spacious places to set up camp.
Toilet block clean and tidy.

Fresh water tap hooked to a hose available for water.

Access onto the pitches is easy, and road access nice and easy too.

The Manor Inn is just a short (15 minute) walk away. They serve lovely food and I recommend booking.
They didn't open until 6pm when we stayed.
To get there, walk along the hedgerow (on the left with the facilities behind you).
There is a small stone section, go left there. Across the grazing field, under a wire fence. Then veer right along the track.
Right onto the road.
Cross at the junction, over the small bridge, and the pub is just up the hill.
Coffee and pastries available.

Tyckte inte om Disliked only one toilet having a sanitary bin, there should be one in EVERY cubicle. It's a basic necessity that shouldn't be optional.
Also, the privacy issue in the ladies showers has not been addressed.
Still no lockable doors and the shower curtains are very lightweight and flimsy.
There is nowhere to undress / dry / redress privately.
The shower heads are very old and spray water in every direction except the one needed.

Only black coffee available or full on milky latte.
No white coffee on offer.

Lots of dogs off lead (the rules of dogs on leads at all times are not enforced at all. )

Our 10 month old puppy got bitten twice by the same cocker spaniel running loose, which was upsetting.

Tyckte om Absolutely fabulous place to stay, central to numerous things to see and do around Devon- we stayed for a week and were spoiled for choice on where to go

The walk along the river was beautiful and relaxing during ridiculously hot weather and lovely and cooling on the feet for a paddle

We stayed during the Perseid meteor shower and was treated to spectacular views every night due to the low light interference - if your a star gazer I recommend you bring your telescope because you will not regret it

Tyckte inte om The selfish family who blocked the toilets on more than one occasion and had no respect for others personal space (they literally took over the entire toilets every time they used them) disgusting behaviour from fellow brits - this had nothing to do with the people who ran the place however and they were immediately on it as soon as any problem arose so well done for that guys ;)

Tyckte om What a little gem ( well huge actually)! Bargain price, massive roomy site with the river Teign close by. Clean showers etc & wash up facilities & fresh water. Brilliant place for everyone, lots of room. Quiet and relaxing. Added extra of pastries and teas & coffee available to buy. This would be even better if it was open through to October! I am fairly local & its perfect for some escapism, will return and recommend. Also love the fact there is absolutely no rush to vacate early!! That's a huge bonus 🙌🏻🚐👌🏻

Tyckte om Great pop up site, lots of space, lovely walk through the tunnel to the other half of the old golf club- this would make a great site too as level and even more space!
Found a spot to get down into river. Only 15 minutes from home so a shame it’s not open for long as we would have been regular visitors. Toilets and showers clean. Highly recommend it.
