Calling all water babies: Newquay Holiday Park has not one but three outdoor swimming pools to jump into in high season (May to mid-September), all heated to balmy temperatures, plus a 200-metre waterslide built into the lush green hillside. Not forgetting the superb surfing and watersports galore on the beaches of Newquay, only three miles away… This spacious site is set in perfect Cornish countryside and provides plenty for the kids, whether they’re at the slides and ball pool stage, or old enough for the ropes and cargo nets of the assault course. There are kids’ clubs for all ages, too, four adventure play areas, pitch and putt, nature trails, a pool room and an amusements arcade. Anyone who’s worked up an appetite should make a beeline for the relaxed surrounds of the Tregenna Bar and Grill, which does a family-friendly range of food all day, plus a decent coffee. Also included in your pitch price is the evening entertainment from the Parkdean Troupers: cabaret, comedy, competitions and more.

Tyckte om: The tent was very clean, I was surprised to see that there were no spiders at all which was great!

Tyckte inte om: A bit cold - the electric fire would overheat and turn off. Would have preferred two space heaters. Couldn’t access WiFi in the glamping tents

Tyckte om: Accommodation ( glamping lodge) was clean on arrival and exceeded expectations for our stay.
The camp site was clean and offered a lot of activities for kids to participate in.
Entertainment staff were brilliant at both entertaining the kids and keeping the adults engaged with the evening activities.

Tyckte inte om: No indoor pool .. some of the leaflets we were given had pictures of an indoor pool which was a bit misleading.
On a colder day during our stay we went off site to and booked an indoor pool for the afternoon.

Tyckte om: Simply outstanding. So welcoming, polite and friendly. Easy to book, arrived at reception and our Glamping tent was a few yards away. Car can be partied next to it and the area is secure with barrier and code. Everything you need in the tent which was cosy, clean and just perfect. The site is perfectly located to explore the beautiful sites of Newquay and Cornwall. On site facilities are great too if you decide to stay put for the day.

All roads lead – with good reason – to the beaches, attractions, shops and eateries of Newquay. If you fancy a go at surfing, you’ve picked the right place: there are surf schools at nearby Holywell Bay and Lusty Glaze, a private cove where the adventure centre also offers coasteering, abseiling, jetskiing and lots of other thrilling stuff. Encourage any budding David Attenboroughs with a trip to one of the wildlife attractions a short drive away: Newquay Zoo has big cats and monkeys, the Blue Reef Aquarium offers close encounters of a toothy kind, and you can handle tame owls and see some impressive falconry displays at the Screech Owl Sanctuary. For more domestic creatures, try Dairyland Farm World, where visitors can get hands on in the milking parlour and feed and pat a variety of furry friends. Gardening gurus should enjoy the tropical adventures of the Eden Project, the romantic landscaping of the Lost Gardens of Heligan, or the zen Japanese Garden and Bonsai Nursery in St. Mawgan. The list of attractions goes on and on, with something for all tastes: cider farms, theme parks, castles, stately homes, steam railways, museums, galleries, water parks… Cornwall really does have it all…
