The horses in the field are very charming.

Tyckte inte om The main toilet is a porta-loo, which was not ideal throughout the day. You could use the toilets belonging to the stables, but this was a bit of a walk away.

The field had holes and thorns in, which could be difficult to walk over.

You could hear the road from the field.

There were fences so you couldn't walk in to the nearby woodland (we did not notice this on the website).

The mugs were stained and we washed everything before use as it didn't look clean.

It was difficult to communicate with Colin (site manager) as he was running a village fete at the time. We asked for logs for BBQing and didn't get these until 7.

Everything in the tent was a little scruffy.

The drinking water tap was a hose and it didn't feel clean to drink from. A barrel was supplied for bringing drinking water closer to the tent, however, this was half filled with water and there was bacteria around the seal.

The portaloo is a necessary requirement under New Forest regulations and is positioned so that all tents can access it easily. Its location also ensures it can be regularly serviced and cleaned by the professional company that manages it. Guests also have access to our flushing toilets in the stable yard, and showers are a short walk away, as mentioned in our pre-arrival information, and many appreciate having both options.

As a working livery site, our fields are kept natural to encourage wildlife and biodiversity, so there may be some uneven ground and natural growth such as thorns. We harrow and roll the fields to the best of our ability at the beginning of the season, but we do warn prior to arrival that there will be some uneven patches and to take care. We are located in the village of Minstead, and the village road is nearby. If guests would like to be more secluded, perhaps licenced wild camping might be a better option. The nearby woodland is privately owned, so we unfortunately cannot allow direct access beyond our boundaries. However, there are many great walks directly from our Farm into the New Forest.

All mugs, crockery and utensils are cleaned before each stay. Staining on mugs can occur even after thorough washing due to tea and coffee use, but we will review these to ensure everything meets our standards. Colin always aims to respond quickly to requests, but on this occasion, his involvement in a village fete meant there was a short delay in delivering logs, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. Unfortunately, I was also away that particular weekend and could not help. Our tents are designed for a relaxed, rustic glamping feel rather than a hotel-style finish, but we take your comments on board and will ensure everything is as fresh and welcoming as possible for future guests. The water hose is drinking water and can also be used for washing up at the field kitchen (this is why it has a hose). We do aim to emptied any water from previous guests, we are sorry on this occasion that wasn't the case.

We’re sorry some aspects didn’t meet your expectations and hope the positives you experienced will be what you remember most from your stay.

Tyckte om We loved our stay at Park Farm Holidays. The touring caravan was perfect for us as a couple staying for 2 nights. It was clean, comfortable and had all the essentials we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location was peaceful and easy to find and the manager was responsive. We loved the fire pit in the evenings especially and the space around us, we were not disturbed at all during our stay.

Tyckte om We liked pretty much everything. The area is peaceful and spacious. The bell tent itself was comfortable, well decorated and well equipped. It came with basically everything we needed (including a nice BBQ tool kit). We appreciated the use of the fire-pit and the fridge to keep a few things cool.
The toilets and showers were nice and clean.
The host, Colin, was very friendly and approachable and made us feel really welcome. He had some nice tips on places to visit and was usually accompanied by his nice doggies!
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely wish to stay again if we're back in the New Forest

Tyckte om We have just got home from an amazing relaxing weekend away at park farm, Colin made sure we had everything we needed and regularly checked up on us to see if we were ok. The blue bell tent was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. Our puppy loved playing with Colin’s dogs and was lovely to see him play with them.
The tents, caravan and shepherds hut were all spaced out perfectly so you weren’t directly next to other people.
We have had a the best time and plan on coming back next year with family and friends.
