Solway Holiday Park

Tyckte om: Only stayed for 1 night on a grass electric pitch but it was a good night, we've already booked again for towards the end of the month. Good entertainment at night for kids and adults, good food at the restaurant and amazing helpful staff. If you want to use the pool, try to book as far in advance as you can but if you pop into the pool reception they might be able to get you in the same day... but its usually the day after. The pitch itself was large but half if it was quite soft, but they give you the option to change if you're not happy with the ground conditions, we managed on the dryer half just fine. Plenty to keep the kids busy but ofcourse a short walk away and you're at the coast so you don't have to stay in the park all the time.

Tyckte inte om: park a bit out dated in areas certain areas let it down, some investment in other areas looks very good , its quite a large park and i think a management review of all areas for improvement are required & then prioritized where attention is needed

Tyckte inte om: It's a bit of a trek from the entrance to the touring pitches if you're walking - not a dislike, just an observation.

Tyckte om: Lovely site Shower block ,toilets Are really nice and clean Staff all friendly the on site chippy was great too and a well stocked shop inside near reception is handy

Tyckte om: Liked that it was clean and tidy around the site, the toilet and shower blocks were kept clean, entertainment was good and reasonable priced. We will return!

Tyckte inte om: They must of had issues with the electricity so was a massive generator rumbling for the 1st day/night which wasn't nice to sleep too, but can't be helped and was good that the site still provided electric even if it was a loud night! but by the 2nd night they had been but back on the grid so was a much nicer sleep!

Tyckte om: We did not end up staying at this place as they phoned and cancelled our holiday due to a waterlogged touring site and upcoming storm which was due. I really appreciated this piece of information. I cannot comment on the site itself as I said previously we didn't actually end up going but hoping to book back up at a later date

Tyckte inte om: Not much to do in the area. No beach and once the town is exhausted from a days wandering then it’s a good drive out to get to anything of interest
