Whether you’re a seasoned camper or a family looking for a weekend getaway, Woodland Retreat is an excellent choice. Highly recommended! Also the fire pits provided are a fantastic addition to anyone’s campsite.

Tyckte inte om: If I had to name something that I wasn’t crazy about, it would be the group of children playing and making noise until 1130 pm and the that you can’t have cold showers during the hot water hours as it’s just one lever for the shower and it goes warm (I like my cold showers in the morning). Neither of those things I could fault the campsite for though!

Tyckte om: Loved the location, the family was very friendly. The kids loved the fire pits I hired to toast marshmallows. Having a place to store a cold drink and charge your phone was great. Toilets and showers very clean.

Tyckte om: Beautiful campsite with amazing views and clean facilities. Great location and easy to find. Shower was lovely and hot in the morning and we enjoyed being able to have a firepit on the night. Spotted lots of wildlife and can pick up a hiking trail from the site itself. Will be visiting again!

Tyckte om: There was so much to like. Starting with the location- not only was it tucked into beautiful countryside, but the site was just 25 minute drive from Robin Hood’s Bay, 15 minutes from Scarborough and about 30 mins walk to Scalby. We had a warm welcome on our arrival and were pleasantly surprised with the facilities that were available. The showers were hot and much needed after a chilly night in the tent. The washing up station was handy and although we didn’t need the fridge and freezer it was good to know they were available. We made use of the logs and kindling which were on sale for the fire pit drums, it was a nice touch to have them a fire in evening.

Tyckte inte om: Perhaps if the site was busier then more showers and toilets would be required. But whilst we stayed we only had to share with max 3 other tents.
