Thorpe Hall Caravan and Camping Site

Tyckte om Second time staying here, did one with electric and one none electric near the games field. Throughly enjoyed both stays. Beautiful setting, good facilities and clean showers.Friendly helpful staff. Will be going again as it was a great base for flamborogh and surrounding areas. We stayed in our Vw camper.

Tyckte om Everything - we were in the paddock, kids loved it, well kept site, nice and quiet to relax, great open park away from site for kids to play.

Tyckte inte om Nothing really other than the WiFi but we were warned about this not a game changer for us.

Tyckte om Friendly staff. Despite me parking incorrectly and then setting up then Tentbox the staff saw the funny side. The playing fields were great to use when quiet with the dogs. Clean, tidy and warm toilets and showers.

Tyckte inte om WiFi didn’t work but the site are honest and say it is intermittent. Good to not have some signal for a short while so not a huge issue but it will be for some.

Fantastic community pub within a short walk (15/20 mins)
The Shower was very good, the site was quiet during our stay.

Tyckte inte om The bathrooms were a little tired, and the pitching instructions we found less than clear, but small issues that would not prevent us returning to this site.

Tyckte om One of the best! Located in what looked like it used to be the walled garden of a country mansion. Toilets were excellent. Small shop on site. Beautifully kept. Pitches were flat with some on a slight slope. Slightly more expensive but worth it. Freezer for freezing blocks. Popular site so book in advance. It was breezy when we visited and the walls gave good protection. This was the best site on our touring holiday.

Tyckte om Clean toilet block. Spacious pitch. Short walk to the local pub which serves great food (good gluten free options too). Will definitely return

Tyckte om The welcome - super friendly and welcoming, the facilities - clean and plentiful, the bell tent - had everything we needed and more, the site - quiet, but convenient location, cost - excellent value for money

Tyckte inte om No dislikes at all. Only (very small) suggestion would be some additional lights for inside bell tent - would make it perfect.

Tyckte inte om Left after 1 night if two.Fishing pond overgrown and not accessible and advertised as a lakes Despite emailing before we set off for a Fishing weekend to ensure we could fish it wasn't possible
WiFi wouldn't connect and mobile network poor so no TV connection for use.
Checked in Friday and left at lunchtime Saturday cutting the trip short
Fishing on a lake should not be advertised

Från föreståndaren: Thank you for your review and rating Lee and we're pleased you liked the site itself. However, we're so sorry to read that you left early due to the situation with the fishing.
It was myself that answered you enquiry and whilst I knew the pond was open and that clearing work had been cancelled due to very hot weather, what I hadn't realised was how overgrown it has become. So thank you for your feedback, we have started work at the pond today and sincere apologies that you weren't able to fish during your stay.
You also make a very fair point about our terminology and we have now changed our description to 'fishing pond'.
We do mention across platforms and in subsequent booking communications that wi-fi and phone signal cannot be guaranteed and that we provide TV aerial points but that you'd need a long length of coax to connect (most guests receive 90+ channels) Unfortunately, with phone signal this is very much dependant on your phone service provider as some get better signal than others.
