Eastfield Farm Shepherd's Huts

Tyckte om The shepherd's hut was really clean, cosy and tidy, with everything you would need for a short stay. Very welcoming! Linda is such a lovely friendly host, even bringing us a fresh fruit basket on arrival, and recommending to us some local walks and places to eat.
The beds were super comfy, I got a fabulous sleep. It was really quiet and relaxing.
The sheep in the field were really lovely too. All in all we both felt very welcome and will definitely be returning!

Tyckte om Just back today from a lovely short weekend break with my family. Stayed in the leaping lamb 4 birth hut with my wife and 2 daughters. It was snug but very cosy.
The host was lovely and met us on arrival. The hut has everything we needed, cutlery, crockery etc. There was tea, coffee, sugar, some complimentary biscuits and they even had some French milk in the fridge! Very impressed.
The huts were opposite a field of sheep and lambs and was very peaceful and scenic. We had a day out in Seaham which was about a 10-15 min drive away and happened upon a massive food festival with TV chefs on stage and all sorts so this is a good base for days like that.
The huts are just next to the village of Haswell which had one friendly pub and everyone we passed said hello.
Would definitely recommend (although dogs are not allowed, presumably because it is adjacent to the sheep field).
I’m sure we will be back at some point 😀

Tyckte om Bank Holiday weekend 3-night stay spent at the Honey Pot shepherds hut. What a wonderful location. The hut was beautiful and very comfortable. A lovely warm welcome from Linda on arrival and a relaxing long weekend followed. Great location to get to Beamish, Durham and Newcastle .. we did all 3 and did circular walks each day too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Tyckte om Such a quirky wee shepherds hut! Hosts were very welcoming, hut was clean and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and plenty pillows provided. Very peaceful and secluded location. Plenty places to eat nearby and BBQ available if required. Would 100% recommend and would love to stay again!

Tyckte om Very warm welcome from the owner. Lovely shepherds hut one working sheep farm. Well equipped accommodation with lovely little bathroom with excellent shower. Kitchen unit with microwave, kettle and sink. No fridge but we brought a small plug in chiller with us. Tea, coffee and longline milk were provided, also good selection of crockery and utensils. Peaceful location. Comfy bed with all bed linen provided. Perfect stay.

Tyckte om When I read the reviews I thought nothing is that good - it wasn’t it was so much more than good. What a friendly welcome felt like visiting family. I had to take a call just as was chatting to lovely lady so my husband was given some ideas a map and a few leaflets etc so we could make the most of our stay. The honeypot was so quaint and the finishing touches made it very homely. Everything we needed such as tea coffee sugar and milk was waiting for us. A very quiet place not far from anywhere and as the only people staying this weekend we had sheep for company. Despite the weather being unpredictable we managed to have an afternoon cup of tea and cake sat on the bench outside in a little private suntrap at the back of the hut. With a later morning check out unlike most places meant even our leaving was at a leisurely pace.
