Whether you’re interested in witnessing the serene day-to-day life of well-kept farmyard animals or (vegetarians, look away now…) eating zero-kilometre sausages and burgers, Crowcroft Campsite might be the place for you. The owners of this pop-up site on a 40-acre smallholding on the eastern fringes of the spectacular Malvern Hills National Landscape raise rare-breed cows and pigs; while on site, you might also come across lambs and free-range chickens. The presence of farm animals doesn’t mean your (well-behaved) dog isn’t welcome at Crowcroft – quite the opposite: there is a dog park on site where your four-legged buddy can have a runaround off the lead, not to mention heaps of dog-friendly footpaths and bridleways in the surrounding countryside. Alongside grass pitches for tents and motorhomes, the site has a toilet and shower block with facilities for disabled guests. The nearby village of Leigh Sinton (five minutes’ drive) has a small shop for essentials (for anything else, head into Malvern, a 10-minute drive away), plus a takeaway restaurant and a pub serving locally sourced food and a selection of cask beers. Long hikes in the Malvern Hills will likely keep you busy for much of your stay here. Check out the Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve (10 minutes), which comes alive with bluebells, cowslips and orchids that attract colourful butterflies. If you fancy something other than hikes, there are fishing ponds at Leigh Sinton Fisheries (five minutes) and a golf club in Bransford (also five minutes), on the A4103 road that connects Worcester to Hereford.

Tyckte om We came here July 2025 site has only been open one week and it was great… big field with pretty view no road noise. Picnic tables around the field with metal plates to place hot items on. Well thought out with communal kitchen area, a large fridge available to store cold items. There was even air hockey/pool and outdoor games available. Really clean toilets and showers and good access to everything you could need. The owner came round with farm fresh ingredients on offer to buy in the morning which was a really nice touch. We’d definitely stay again if we were in the area. There are a couple pubs in short driving distance for evening meals and a small local shop too.

Tyckte inte om Would have been good to have more water taps around the field but this was a really minor problem.

Tyckte om We absolutely loved staying here this weekend. You got everything you could ask for within the price (we love a cheaper basic campsite) it had clean toilets, showers, washing up station, fridge and even a pool/air hockey table which was a lovely surprise. The field is huge and you can pitch up anywhere with a lovely view all round with still only a small walking distance to the toilets. It’s a lovely clean, cheap and cheerful campsite we’d definitely visit again if we’re in the area

We left this campsite today, we were the family in the blue tent.

Firstly I have to say that the campsite was lovely, great views and so peaceful.
The games room was a massive surprise and one we all enjoyed.
The toilet and shower facilities were clean, usable and in such good condition. They were fantastic.
The hosts were lovely, checking we were all ok, welcoming and very easy to chat too.

This is a campsite I hope to return too and have already started recommended to friends too.

I wish the campsite every success for the future.

National Trust properties in the area include Brockhampton (25 minutes’ drive), a moated timber-framed house dating from the 14th century. The estate features vast stretches of ancient woodlands, as well as a whopping 145 acres of apple, plum and damson orchards crossed by hardstanding paths. Sitting on the banks of the Wye, Hereford (35 minutes) has several riverside green spaces, such as Bishops Meadow and Castle Green, which are linked by the pretty Victoria Bridge. Hereford Cathedral houses the Mappa Mundi, a map of the world as it was known in the 14th century, while the Black and White House Museum, in a half-timber building in the main square, displays period furniture. With the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Shakespeare’s Birthplace and multiple Shakespeare-inspired establishments, Stratford-upon-Avon (one hour) could be all about the Bard. But it doesn’t have to be: there are also other interesting places to visit, such as the MAD Museum of mechanical art and Stratford Butterfly Farm.
