Copper Fox Camping

Tyckte om It is a very quiet and laid back site with beautiful views, there is a converted container cabin with 2 showers and 2 toilets. It looks brand new and they are very clean inside. There is no reception, you have to find the site warden, who is also the fisheries warden. He drives a small red 4X4.

Tyckte om Lovely campsite with great views all around. The actual site was a little tricky to find as the signposting was quite vague, but a quick call to the office solved it immediately and it was well worth it. Plenty of space to find a pitch with a view of the lake and sunset. Toilets are a 2 minute (if that) walk away and were very clean. The site was peaceful and all other guests were lovely. We even went paddleboarding on the lake (with our own equipment) at sunset which was dreamy

Tyckte om Once setup the scenery is really nice, right at the side of the lake. Great location between West Bridgford and Radcliffe

Tyckte inte om The entry gate is ridiculously tight for a car and caravan you have to reverse and the lane is busy with bikes and runners so very dangerous if you have no banksman.

Toilets and showers were amazing when we arrived Friday but no cleaning happened all weekend so we're in desperate need of a mop and new toilet roll by the Sunday.

There is no elsan or grey water point so we had to take these home which is not a massive deal but as there are toilets I would expect a drain for black waste really.

Tyckte om Lovely riverside, peaceful setting. New very nice toilet and shower block. 25 minute walk to Radcliffe on Trent. Excellent value for money

Tyckte om Second time here and no with toilets and showers. Went swimming 🏊‍♀️ was brilliant . Such a lovely place and chilled back. Can't wait as back next weekend paddle boarding. Met the owners who are lovely . Defo recommend .matt 👌

Tyckte inte om There was some big groups of foreign tourists that were noisy and had a fire pit going, with the grass being so dry it wasn’t a great idea, not enough loos and was a walk to them . I was also surprised that nobody checked you in

Tyckte om Had a great spot, with my Ford Ranger / TentBox, under a willow tree, alongside the reeds. I’m an early sleeper, so not too noisy neighbours was great. Good communication with owners via email & text.

Tyckte inte om Personally, and only my opinion, a tad too many vehicles. A few less would probably bring more reoccurring visitors (more space and quiet) - but I was out the way and it was great. Wasn’t greeted by anyone when arriving, early afternoon, so wasn’t really sure what to do or where to go.

We really enjoyed our long weekend at Copper Fox!

It was quite busy when we arrived on the Friday evening, but the fishing bailiff showed us a good place to pitch and was really welcoming (there is no reception, you just make yourself known to the bailiff on arrival, or that's what we did anyway)

This is a basic campsite, but that's what makes it so great in our opinion. There's a small toilet block with two toilets, and they were finishing the showers while we were there - I'm sure we were first to use one of them- what a claim lol!

There's also a freshwater tap next to the toilet block, but no elsan point in case you're wondering, so we didn't bother using our camper toilet - the ones in the block were great anyway. They've been done to a really high standard, as have the showers. They were always clean and well-stocked with toilet paper and soap.

There is no washing up area in case that sort of thing bothers you - we've got a sink in the camper, so wouldn't have used it anyway.

Loved the proximity to the lakes. One is for the anglers, and the other you could swim in and paddleboard/kayak, etc. It was absolutely wonderful! There were a few colder bits where it was a bit deeper, but the temperature was gorgeous this time of year (August heatwave)

We were a bit further back nearer the anglers, so it was quieter where we were, however, I didn't notice much noise after say 11pm (although we were asleep by then each night, so presume it must have been quiet!)

Would definitely come back!

My only suggestion would be to put a hook on the door in the shower rooms - everything else was brilliant
