Tyckte inte om There was some loud music coming from a place close to the site, not sure if the venue was related to the camping site but it tarnished the stay a little.

Tyckte om This is a lovely little site.
Own space with firepit and table. Not busy.
Showers and toilets are well made, sinks and a freezer if needed. There is a parking spot but no one used it and parked in the drop off area so was a little crowded.
Nice to see the skydivers and planes.

Tyckte inte om Toilet and shower doors need some inner panelling as you can see through the large gaps between the wood and getting changed was awkward and made me uncomfortable.
Shower was cold later in the morning so unsure if this had run out.

Tyckte om The facilities were really well looked after, it was nice to have shower gel provided in the showers and the freezer was handy. The proximity to the airfield was fun - great to see the skydivers and so handy if you are booked on to glide or jump. There is a little cafe there for breakfast and hot drinks.
The kids loved roaming around and meeting other children around the site. Lots of families made for a relaxed atmosphere for them and plenty to do.
It was quiet at night and the planes made for a fun atmosphere in the day.

Tyckte inte om Unfortunately the check in process fell apart a bit as somebody had camped in our assigned pitch. We met a fair few people who had not got the check- in email and were left unsure what to do, for fear of pitching where somebody else was due to turn up to.

We sorted it out after a couple of phone calls but I do wonder if it would be better to put up a list of who should pitch where and leave it at the drop-off on busy days, in case people did miss the email. I can see it is less of an issue on quieter nights when you can get one tent on one cluster, but it made it tricky to know what to do when there were already three tents on our assigned pitch. The kids were a bit upset as they had been looking at the map and anticipating where we were going to be.

Tyckte om Beautiful surrounding area with plenty of public footpaths and good local pubs. The long grass surrounding the pitches gives privacy. The benches and fire pits on each pitch are excellent. Toilet and shower block good, clean and well equipped. I enjoyed watching the aerplanes and skydivers!
Good information signs with directions to pubs etc.

Tyckte inte om As a solo camper the privacy came at the cost of interaction with other people, a thing I enjoy at other campsites. But I accept that most people prefer the privacy.
I booked on the day, and didn't get an allocated spot, so I worried a bit that I might have to move.

Tyckte om The beautiful view over the field, fire pits and benches for free use (wood to be purchased), rustic looking but modern w/c and shower block and good size pitches.

Tyckte om The pitches were really well spaced out. Each had its own picnic bench and fire pit. The toilet blocks were modern, clean, well supplied with be paper and soap. The showers with hot water. A freezer was available to recharge your ice blocks and a couple of plug sockets in the kitchenette. Situated in the heart of the countryside.

Tyckte inte om Very little, would have liked hot water in the toilets for shaving. You can take hot water in a bottle from the kitchenette next door, to fill up the sink as a work around.

Tyckte om Simple but clean. Neatly marked out pitches.

Tyckte inte om Impossible to get hold of owners. Confusion over what pitch I had, email said one thing, text another.

Tyckte om Excellent, very well thought out pitches. Felt part of the wider camping community and also had privacy due to the clever way they have it the pitches in and used the slope. Kitchen, loos and showers were good. Loved watching the skydiving and we also did the cute little walk to the nearest pub the rose and crown.
