Country footpaths, home-cooked local produce and traditional ales, coastal walks and castles… half an hour’s drive from New York? No, there’s no mistake, but the New York in question is in rural Lincolnshire, as is the quiet, simple and very uncitylike Eaves Inn. As you may have guessed, there's a country pub to be found here... The site's at the back of a traditional country inn, open from Thursdays to Sundays to serve local ale from its cosy bar and a wide menu of eats in its restaurant. It's all rather scenic too, as pitches are in a wide field with views across farmland and fen, in the centre of the village of Little Steeping. Around the region, it's a 20-minute drive from here to Skegness. Shops and supermarkets are in Skegness and barbecues are allowed on this adults-only site, you can indulge in a bit of outdoor grilling any time you like. Work up an appetite by taking the dog for a brisk walk on the footpaths passing by the site. While the combination of pub plus field plus view is spectacularly simple, that doesn’t mean roughing it: a modern block combines hot showers, sinks and a washing-up area, all of it gleaming and heated.

Tyckte om Such an amazing little campsite. Spent a couple of days sitting in a field, chatting to the people pitched opposite and just loving life. It was so peaceful, just doing nothing. Absolutely perfect! Food at the pub was out o this world and will be going back frequently.

Tyckte om Always made to feel welcome ,staff all lovely, showers and campsite are all very clean, we have stayed here now, dogs are allowed in the pub, also like the eves as campsite is for adults over the age of 21

Tyckte om Beautiful, secluded site, excellent shower and toilet block, both very clean and looked after. The grass pitches were very large and well maintained. Plenty of shade from the large trees. The pub was really friendly, the food was 1st class, I am Coeliac and was catered for. Was able to take my dog in with me, he got some biscuits and a ball, he is better looking than me though. I will definitely be returning for another stay.

Tyckte om Lovely quiet place, we were the only ones there for the 3 nights but it was a nice location, we didn't get a chance to try the pudding as it wasn't open the days we were there, but we id talk to some locals who said the food was very good.

Tyckte om Having the whole place to ourselves. Lol ..Sunday lunch at the pub was amazing, after not thinking about booking, the lady made room for us anyway...place was clean and the toilets and showers were cleaned few times in the day ..as.a.whole we really.enjoyed our stay ..

Tyckte inte om Just about the electric boxes ,there was only 4 i think on the site and from the pitch we were left with when we turned up (,as there was a few people on the first day) it was a really long way and our lead only just fitted but we had to move quite close to the neighbours tent ....think maybe you could put that on pitch up that you might need alonger lead when staying here .


.The cows in the next field haha scared me...lol

Your dislike I just wish you had spoken to me there are five boxes each with 4 hook ups I made the pitches much larger than they need to be because I wanted my guests to have space and a lovely relaxing time, had you have said I would have lent you extension lead for free , you just needed to say. Tyckte om I liked firstly everything about the place, spacious pitches , nice pub and very friendly staff

Tyckte inte om On the website it says leave it by 12, but on the board when you’re there it says leave by 10, this was a bit annoying as my plans on the assumption I was going to leave by 11. And one very minor point on the website it says the pub will open half an hour before it actually does.

The leaving time is 12.00 the board is just a guide. I really wish you had spoken to me or asked to speak to me about the leaving time I am so easy going about arrival times and leaving times. I do not over book the site so there is always spare spaces for people to arrive early or leave later. Look forward to seeing you again. Thank you again

For longer hikes and bike rides, Horncastle (25 minutes) is a hub for two major routes: the Viking Way links the Humber Estuary with Rutland Water over 147 miles of grand terrain, while the 80 miles of the Lindsey Trail focus on the chalk hills, woodlands and ancient history of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Wartime history lies thick on the ground in these parts too, thanks to the role played by Lincolnshire’s people and airfields in the Battle of Britain: learn more at the Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre and the International Bomber Command Centre (20 minutes, half an hour and an hour away). Whether birdwatching or battlements are your bag, Tattershall Castle (half an hour) is worth a turn around, with 15th-century show-off interiors, woodlands full of wildlife and lakes nearby for wakeboarding and watery assault courses.
