Tyckte inte om Half of the campsite is on a slope and we were the 50% unlucky ones. Although the pitches are generous, it's impossible to position your tent for a comfortable sleeping position. Things were sliding off the tables at breakfast, we were sliding off the mattresses at night. We would not come back again unless allocated a level pitch, otherwise no complaints.

Från föreståndaren: Thank you for your comments we do value the time it takes for guests to fill out a review. I am sorry that you didn't fully enjoy your stay, I am aware that there are some pitches with a very slight gradient but I have never had anyone say it was so bad that they kept rolling off the bed and you all seem to be eating breakfast fine around the table in the morning when I asked if everything was ok. Please can I just bring to your attention that when booking a pitch as it states in all the details it should be one tent per pitch and I did notice that you had 2 tents but I let this slide (as there was enough room between the tents for fire regulations) also when one of your party arrived to check in at my house at gone 10.30 at night this isn't really good practice either, but again I politely directed him to your pitch not a problem. So please when booking another site as you state you definitely wont be returning to ours, that other sites may not be so generous!

Toilets & showers very clean ,constant hot water from the showers, very peaceful , loved the little honesty shed,with all different kinds of goodies & ice packs to use for your cool box.😊

Tyckte om Lovely large pitches on a peaceful small site. Only approx. 12 pitches, which even though nearly full it was never loud. The facilities were well kept and Ellie is always on hand if you need anything. Perfectly placed near Rutland's beautiful villages and Rutland Water is a must, so much on offer. Foxton Locks also very close by. We were there during a heatwave and spent more time at the site than we normally would but this was so peaceful and relaxing. Only leaving a good review because they deserve it, otherwise I'd be keeping it a hidden secret for when we return, which we will be doing asap. Ellie's dogs were a lovely addition to our break - two gorgeous labradors that made friends with ours and made her stay.

Tyckte om So quiet and relaxing, owner Ellie was so helpful and kind. The safari tent was great and the beds were sooooooooooooooo comfy. Hot tub was lovely too. We will absolutely be back!

Tyckte inte om No dislike just be aware you cant park by tent and have to use wheelbarrow to move stuff although Ellie gave us help as my husband was on crutches.

Tyckte om The pitches were really large, the site was lovely and small. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely stay again.

Tyckte om Beautiful setting. Small and quiet. Large flat(ish) pitches. Lovely toilet/shower facilities that are really well maintained/stocked. Fire pits to hire and logs/marshmallows on site.

Honesty shop with board games etc is a lovely touch (sad we didn't visit until our way home), take some cash for snacks and logs.

Ellie is super helpful and attentive without being over-baring.

Tyckte inte om We didn't dislike this, (there was nothing we disliked) but it is worth being aware of if it might be an issue for you.

The farm dogs do often visit the site and come to say hello (and sometimes take your crocs for a walk 😆). We're dog people and the kids loved having a stroke as they were missing our dog at home but if you're not a fan of dogs/have a nervous dog yourself, you might want to consider this.

Communication was first rate, informative and helpful.
Clean and quiet site with excellent shower/toilet/washing-up facilities, and a children's play area too.
Excellent for walkers and wildlife watchers.

Tyckte om Everything! The pitch, the rolling hills views, the facilities (clean & modern), the separate public'dunny' at the end of our pitch we treated as out own ensuite lol. Our tentative host who ensured we had all we needed that they could provide for us. Offering of a breakfast hamper at a cost, with locally sourced food was a nice touch and the food was yummy. We made friends with the farms very well behaved furry family their two Labs who provided us with some dog therapy. All in all this was the break we needed, and it ticked all the boxes. Didn't do any walks that weekend, but there are plenty to be had should we have wanted. We just wanted to chill and enjoy our tent ahead of an extended camping hols due.

Tyckte om Quiet remote corner in wonderful farmland.
So lucky with the wonderful weather we are having atm.
The wood fires hot tub is amazing.
The site has a small room with supplies for sale which were really needed.
