Понравилось Really loved staying at this site. The toilets and showers were always clean and stocked with toilet roll/hand soap. Decent sized washing up area, also always clean, with the added bonus of a small fridge and freezer. Plenty of space on the actual pitch too. Friendly owners, always out and about if you needed them. Best bit was the animals. Geese, goats, the farm dog and the pig with its adorable escaping piglets who kept us entertained with their games. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Не понравилось The cheeky geese rummaging through our bin at 4am. Top tip: put your rubbish bags in your tent/vehicle overnight.

Понравилось This is a lovely camping spot. You can pick your own pitch, there's plenty of space and campfires are allowed. There's a beautiful peacock who wanders over to try and share your breakfast. A fabulous wooded area for the kids to explore. Lots of chopped firewood from fallen trees in these areas too. Free wi-fi. Very quiet and peaceful at night, yet it's so close to Newcastle city centre, the Metrocentre and the motorway. Top location in fact. Toilet is just a basic portaloo but it's kept relatively clean and can't complain for the price.

Понравилось I can't praise this site enough. We had such a wonderful time. I stayed Monday to Friday with my little girl and it was perfect. She made lots of friends and loved seeing the cows right beside our tent in the field alongside us. The owners' teenage daughter was incredibly patient with all the children camping in a morning, letting them walk and groom the ponies. There's so much space in the field compared to the amount of tents allowed that everyone has plenty of space to put up shelters, have fires, for the children to run around etc. Campfire wood was very reasonably priced. The woman who runs the site was also very friendly and helpful. The toilets, although small, were cleaned very regularly and always stocked with tissue, handwash, sanitiser etc. On Friday, I dropped my daughter off and stayed for the weekend with a friend, and we had an equally good time. We could have our music on and chat without fear of upsetting any other campers because there's so much space. I saw many different types of groups there (families, extended groups of friends, girls trips etc) and every one seemed very happy with the site. If you do visit I'd recommend days out to Dovedale and Bluebell's Dairy Farm, as we really enjoyed these. Thank-you so much for a fabulous break. Oh, it's also very cheap compared to other sites so get it booked!

Не понравилось Having to carry everything from the car to the tent but it's not too far. And if I wanted to be picky the toilet could do with a bigger bin for the paper towels but it's cleaned so often that it's not that big an issue.

Понравилось We liked the laid back atmosphere, being allowed to pitch up where we liked, there was other families on site for my daughter to play with, plenty of room, clean toilets and washing up area, a bar if it rained (we didn't because the weather was fab but it's a good back-up plan), firepits allowed, and close to the town, this site was really good.
