Понравилось We love this site and have stayed here a few times. Its only around an hour from home but is very peaceful and has a lovely woodland area to walk the dogs or just explore by yourself. It has a few service areas around the site but as it was winter only 1 or the service areas was available. This was absolutely fine with us as it was not that far from where we were set up. You will need a decent torch for early morning or late night if it's dark as there is very little lighting. We like this as no light pollution! Ruth is very helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Не понравилось Not really a dislike but if you are someone who need wifi or phone signal then beware. We are both on O2 and our phones worked on and off but quite slow due to lack of signal. There is wifi at the site but only the pitches near to the reception block seem to be able to get signal (we have been close to reception before and used the wifi but this time we were further away and it wouldn't work).

Понравилось We have stayed here a few times and love that it is a small and basic site. We had a couple of friends come to visit whilst we were there and Anthony (site owner) made sure we had room for them to park for the couple of hours they were there. Very friendly staff/owners and also all the other guests were friendly as well. We will definitely be back in the future.

Понравилось We have stayed here before, a few months ago, and cannot fault the site. We asked for a pitch near the facilities and this pitch we were allocated was perfect for us. Fresh water points, ellison points and waste water points are dotted around the site and there is a gate through to a lovely forest walk. Wifi worked fine for us. We had an issue connecting out electric hook up but the lady from reception soon sorted that out for us. Will definitely be back.

Понравилось Very nice site with plenty of space between the pitches. Lovely little dog walk in to the woods straight off of the site. A few elson points dotted around the park as well as water points and bins. Very clean toilets, didn't use showers so can't comment but looked very clean also. Very easy access in to the site and site owner/manager very friendly and helpful. We also found the wifi very good, although we weren't far from reception so not sure if the pitches further away would have had the same signal.

Не понравилось My only grumble was that there was a lot of empty pitches for the 2 nights we were there, yet we were allocated a pitch directly opposite a caravan who was parked sideways which meant it was blocking our view of the site. I am sure if I had mentioned it to the reception then they would have moved us, so this is not a moan as such, maybe just advice to think about when allocating pitches when there's plenty of availability.

You are correct, if you had come and spoken to us, we would have gladly moved you, if we have the space, we are more than willing to do this. We would have moved you straight away. The reason we use the top pitches during the winter are for the following reasons: If the customer is coming in when it is dark, which very often they do, it is easier to pitch up on a pitch that is near to the reception building as it is very dark on site. This saves them driving around in the dark and is also easier for us while pitching up customers. We also try to put people near to the toilets when the weather is so foul, to save them the walk, we have been doing this recently as it has been very icy. This also saves them having to walk to the toilets in the dark. We also try to keep customers away from under the trees if it is windy. The wifi is also better on the top pitches. These are all things that we have thought of to try and make our customers stay a happy one. We will take note of your comments and hope that this will not put you off from staying again. Понравилось small campsite with easy access from main road. Quite a narrow bridge to go over to get on to the site but we had no issues with this. clean toilets and showers. Lovely little stream running down the side which was lovely to listen to. We had electric hook up and there was a few water points situated around which was good. Very very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Wifi worked well but had to keep reconnecting as would through us off a couple of times a day.

Понравилось We was a little concerned when we first pulled up here as there are caravans in the golf course car park and we thought we would be placed there. However, the pitches are actually located to the side of the building and and over looking a field. We had water and electric hook up on pitch. We had to prepay for the electric but that was all very straightforward. The lady in the reception was very friendly. Toilets and showers available. Used the toilets and they were clean, didn't use the showers so can't comment. Grey waste and elsdon point just in front of the pitches.

Понравилось A small site with good size pitches and very clean facilities. Easy access and good communication from the owners prior to arrival. Their onsite washing machine packed up with my washing in it so the site owners, who live in the cottage on site, came and tried to get it working. It couldn't be fixed so they very kindly took my washing back to their cottage and washed and dried my washing. Thank you so much. The WiFi worked well. Our pitch was also completely level with no need to use our chucks.

Не понравилось Their were some road works right outside the site that started the day after we got there, these did add to the road noise. Not sure how long they will be there as we stayed 2 nights and have now left. Obviously this is no fault of the sites at all.

Понравилось Lovely clean site and the owners are friendly and helpful. Toilets are clean, didn't use shower so can't comment on that. Great size pitch, we was on Bella 2. Straight off the main road so easy access. Bus stops right outside the site, we didn't use them so not sure where they go or how good a service.

Понравилось Very peaceful adults only site tucked away in a valley. Lovely little stream down the side which was lovely to sit and listen to. Very helpful lady on reception. Toilets and showers were spotless. There were some works being done to the camping field but this did not bother us in the slightest and we were aware of it before booking. Site WiFi also worked well.

Не понравилось Absolutely no dislikes to would definitely visit again.

Не понравилось WiFi on the pitches is not free, it's only free in the clubhouse. If you want WiFi on your pitch you have to pay extra which we refused to do as should be in with the price like most over sites. I've never had this as an extra charge before. I wanted to do some washing but needed change for the machine. The signs say change can be got in the shop, which is not open all day. However tried this and was told only the clubhouse can give change. That doesn't open until 5 though. Went in there at 5 and the barmaid wasn't allowed to give cashback but she did point me to a change machine the games room so managed to get changed eventually.

Понравилось We've stayed here a few times now and like the pitches with the view of the lake. Easy access and close to the harbour and co op within walking distance. Clean toilets etc.

Понравилось Clean site and good size pitches. Cleans showers and toilets. Number plate recognition to get in to barrier. Easy to find and easy access. Close to farm shop and vending machine at front doing fresh milk/milkshakes/coffee etc

Понравилось We booked a hardstanding pitch and there were plenty to choose from. The whole site is non electric but this was just a one night stop for us so was fine and we knew this when we booked it. Very quiet site and very clean and tidy. Clean toilets and a washing up hut. Didn't use the showers so can't comment on then. Description on pitchup says no bin facilities but there is bins to dispose of rubbish so that's good. Easy access from road and code to get in to gate was easy to use.

Понравилось Loved being tucked away in the woods, really felt like we we were wild camping. We only stayed for 1 night so didn't need an electric pitch. The site it self has no toilet/shower facilities which we were well aware of when we booked the site but it does have a choice of electric or non electric pitches and there are plenty of fresh water taps dotted about as well. Another good thing is you are not allocated a pitch. You are just allowed to drive around and pick any pitch that is available in your area. We would definitely visit again for a longer period next time. The reception staff were very friendly as well.

Не понравилось There is no wifi and our phone signals (O2 & EE) were pretty much non existent. Not the sites fault and kind of to be expected when you are that setting.

Понравилось The receptionist was very friendly and offered us alternative pitches when we were not happy with the one we had been allocated. Clean toilets and the free wifi was quite good as well. The grounds are kept well and the whole site was clean and tidy.

Не понравилось The site is on quite a busy road. Although this did not overly bother us, it does let the site down a little as it is quite noisy most of the time. The site is also at the end of a runway for light aircraft. The first day we was there the planes were taking off over us which was really noisy. Thankfully the rest of the days they were coming in to land over us so were much quieter. This may be us being fussy but we did struggle with the pitches as the first few we were offered were very uneven and although we are in a motorhome and do have chucks to go under the wheels, the pitches just weren't great. Although we were finally offered one that was completely flat and we didn't need the chucks at all. I also don't agree with having to pay for the use of the showers separately. In my opinion this should be part of the cost of the pitch. Although I do appreciate that this is relatively common, I just don't like it.

Понравилось Was a quiet site, no noise from other guests. There was a lovely river/pond. The owners were friendly and made sure we was settled ok and checked that the stay had been good when we left. They explained that they had taken over the site approx 16 months ago and had recently had more toilet blocks added and they are planning on renovating the whole site. The road next to the site is quite busy and can be heard on the site but that did not bother us, although was quite hard to get out on to when we left but thats no fault of the owners or the site.

Понравилось The site is kept beautifully and the campsite warden really takes the time to keep it clean and tidy. We noticed him check the site each morning to ensure there was no problems etc which we have not seen at any other site we have stayed at. We stayed the first May bank holiday and the site was at full capacity but you would never have thought it. It was so quiet that all you could hear was the birds. Very very peaceful. We also really liked the pitch sizes, there was plenty of room between the hardstanding pitches to allow you to have an awning up and still have loads more room. We was on a fully serviced pitch but our hosepipe was not long enough to reach the tap. We spoke to the campsite warden, Neil, who very kindly allowed us to use one of the site hoses. Very much appreciated Neil, thank you.

Не понравилось Absolutely nothing! The site was perfect to us. Just wished we lived closer so we could visit regularly.

Понравилось We stayed in the Shepards Hut for 2 nights. We arrived a couple of hours early but the staff there were more than happy for us to get in early. The 2 ladies in reception were very helpful and friendly. The park was very clean and kept nice and tidy.

Не понравилось A down side for us was the lack of anything about outside the park unless you travelled to another Town. The Wifi was none existent for the 2 nights we were there but I can't say that really bothered us.
