Понравилось Brilliant little site close to the coast, quite basic but we loved it and had the best time out of the 4 campsites we stayed in total. Andy was a great host, a gent.

Не понравилось Showers were locked because you have to pay, you have to call a number to get a code. Didn’t have my phone with me so had to walk back to the van, get my phone and walk back to the showers with 3 kids.

От менеджера: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the lovely views and that you would recommend us and visit again. Just to explain regarding the showers, unfortunately we do have to keep these locked, as we have previously had people who are not staying on the campsite coming onto the site and using them. We only charge adults for the use of the showers; children are free. As our site runs from a natural spring, we do have to purchase additional water during busy and dry periods. This is especially necessary at the moment following the lovely weather we’ve had and the lack of rainfall. We appreciate that having to go back to your van for your phone, especially with three children, was inconvenient, and we’ll take your feedback on board. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the future

Понравилось Fields and pitches are well maintained. Play areas decent, and if you like you can get breakfast from the hut on site. Toilets & showers are also good.

Понравилось Great site with amazing sunset sea views, relaxed attitude, quiet with clean and plenty of facilities. Brilliant phone signal. Flat pitches. Well mainted grass field. I even forgot dog food and they helped me out.

Не понравилось It gets windy at times!! But what do you expect if you’re camping on the edge of the country. Amazing campsite.

Понравилось Nice little family run site, showers are great and also has a little shop with essentials should you need anything. No Wifi at the pitch but full 5G phone signal.

Понравилось Relaxed site, with footpath walk into Swanage. Friendly staff, has a burger van well maintained pitch.

Не понравилось Could do with more showers and toilet facilities. An updated easier to read map, was a tad difficult finding our pitch

Понравилось Pitches were level & well maintained with lots of space. Showers were great and night security. Had a shop and cafe. Friendly staff. Great views in the non electric area. Has a dog field

Не понравилось Toilet area could be cleaner but it’s a big site. Not much phone signal and had to pay for WiFi. Not much of a view from our fully serviced pitch.

Не понравилось If you wanted to fish in the small lake you do have to pay, You can have a fire pit but you have to pay. You can use the hairdryers provided but you have to pay. Mobile network coverage is very poor, thankfully they have good onsite WiFi… but you to pay. It’s a cattle farm and the adjacent fields have just been sprayed days prior to our arrival, combined with the dry July weather made it into a fly infested site.

Chris, before you left I explained to you that we had an issue with the flies that had occurred in the past week as a result of the extremely unprecedented high temperatures (on Saturday reaching as high as 36 degrees) and lack of rain. As you will have seen when booking (it is stated on the website that we are a working farm) we are in the country and as such have other working farms around us, one of which had unfortunately sprayed a field opposite the campsite which had significantly escalated the issue with the flies (as explained to you when we spoke), this is out of our control and is not the norm for us, as can be seen from all of our previous reviews. I work very hard to maintain a good campsite and environment for people to enjoy when they come to visit (which again can be seen from our reviews). With regards to your points regarding our facilities (WiFi, fishing, fire pits & hairdryers); we clearly state that charges may apply for additional services offered (this is not uncommon and we like to think that our charges are very reasonable), may I point out that the only service you appeared to use was the WiFi, at no point did you enquire about the fishing etc so I am unsure why you feel the need to comment on these. A final point to note - you gave us a mark for 'child friendliness', we are an adult only site so child friendliness is irrelevant. I am saddened by the use of your words and descriptions of our campsite, a campsite that is enjoyed by many.
