Понравилось Lovely little site with a really personal feel to it. The site owner was always around, we managed to have small conversation but thankfully her English was better than my French! Nice big pitches, not many of them so it was not busy at all. Great for a couple of days relaxing. Clean facilities. Pool was great, we had it to ourselves most of the times. Maybe the kids scared everyone off! If you want stuff to do, it's not the site for you. Ice cream was lovely, so were the pizzas! They are big, so I had them for lunch the next day too. Wifi stopped loading anything the odd time, but mostly it was good!

Понравилось Brilliant campsite, staff so friendly and helpful from the second we arrived. We booked the last 2 spaces the night before we arrived and asked to be put together and they accommodated that with no issue. MH service point was perfect for emptying grey water, filling with fresh water and emptying toilet cassette. On site facilities all clean, toilets, showers, dish washing. Showers get busy at peak times which is to be expected. We had Pizzas from the restaurant which were very nice, highly recommend the chips! Pool was busy but we could always get a sun lounger without issue. I cycled to Retournac for the supermarket when we needed supplies, don't do it if you don't like hills! But it was easy enough, they also had a big market on. We had inflatable boats so we took them on the river which is really close, my brother in law who was with us had an issue with his paddleboard, but Cosycamp do free rental (first come first served on the day) on Canoes which came in handy. Kids absolutely loved it, nice clear water and very little current. I will miss waking up to the great views around us!

Не понравилось Holidays aren't always about Wifi, but it wasn't the best. We had low signal where we were which maybe didn't help. But as we are on holiday it wasn't a big issue!

Понравилось Initial reactions weren't great, it was stated that the pitches were 80m2 and could fit multiple units on each pitch (a nice money saver) but to say it was cosy was an understatement. The 80m2 included trees which are difficult to move. I should have asked to move as there was plenty of larger pitches available. The next disappointment was that I had booked it based on the Lake and being able to use our boats and paddleboard, but the Lake is only for the watersports the site provide. I have put this in the Liked part because I don't think it's fair to say it's a complete negative, just needs explaining better in the description. Swimming pool is an additional cost, and you have to wear skin tight swimwear male or female which is also available to purchase. Anyway, once we got over this it was a really nice site. Good tennis court and football pitches which the kids enjoyed. Water and electric nearby and a point for grey water and fresh water. Toilet emptying facilities are good. Local supermarket a short walk/cycle away. But the icing on the cake, the water sports on the Lake. Absolutely amazing!! We had the funniest time doing both the rubber dinghy and also the wakeboarding. There were a few aching muscles the next day!! Highly recommend and completely reasonably priced. Cycle trails nearby nice and quiet and not much traffic on the local roads.

Не понравилось No idea where the Wifi is but we never had it once, it's certainly not at the pitch.

Понравилось Plenty of space, hot showers, did the job for us perfectly as a stop over. Huge bonus for me was no issue towing a car trailer with motorhome, as mentioned thanks to plenty of space.

Понравилось 2nd year running we have stayed here and it was just as good as the first time. Had a lovely meal at the restaurant too. Wifi is just the best, so so fast. Maybe see you next year!

Понравилось Lovely site with good services. It was very quiet despite being August and very hot. Pool was 24 degrees which my youngest (4) struggled with but the pool is very clean and big so no complaints. Football and tennis pitches too. Plenty of toilets, showers, basins, washing up facilities. €3 for a washing machine token meant we got all our washing done for a reasonable price. Cycled into Salamanca which was a lovely old town. Almost all cycle lanes the whole way. Bus also available right outside the site for only €1.75 each. A great site for our way home from Portugal only a short way off the motorway. Wifi available across the whole site, but don't expect to be able to watch a video without it buffering!

Не понравилось Alot of the reviews mentioned leaves and I thought what a thing to moan about, but having said there, they got everywhere! Very minor negative, but it wouldn't hurt to sweep a few up.

Понравилось 2nd year staying here, and just as decent 2nd time round. Good stop over on the way South or back North to Calais. We stayed 2 days this time and visited the local town, only a short walk/cycle away. Pool very clean, just a bit cold over a long period for little kids, my 4 year old struggled. Electric on every pitch, but make sure you fill up with water in a camper before you enter using the motorhome service point outside (small charge for this). Facilities great and clean.

Понравилось 'meh' is how I would describe it. Not good, not bad. Just average. Thing is I expected a bit more as it was a tad more pricey than alot of other campsites we had stayed in, so I was expecting a bit more, but it offered nothing more except a few goats. The pool was clean, the showers were lukewarm but they did the job. Generally facilities were all clean. We liked the town being nearby, had some nice Pizza at the local Italian.

Не понравилось Wifi was terrible. Maybe it was just our pitch (19) but it would take ages to connect, then have low signal and drop out. Big deal made about the food truck that arrived at night. Restaurant prices for a burger van. Mosquitoes were terrible. Luckily we had repellent then it wasn't as bad. Stayed at lots of sites on rivers and were nowhere near as bad. You are basically touching the people on the pitch near door, not much privacy.

От менеджера: bonjour et merci pour votre avis avec une bonne note pour la propreté, mais nous avons un peu mieux que nos chèvres pour satisfaire les enfants sauf si vous êtes un peu difficile... en effet à la piscine, il y a une belle pataugeoire pour les enfants sur le thème du zoo de beauvaul ( ouverte jusqu'à 21h pour les gens qui arrive tard ), mais aussi des jeux à ressort, un trampoline, 4 jeux gonflables dont une de 15 mètres, 2 terrain de foot ( petit et grand ) 1 terrain de volley, 2 terrains de badminton, etc..., pour le peu d'intimité, nos emplacements font 100 m2 et l'emplacement 19 ce trouve dans une zone de transit pour les gens comme vous qui ne reste qu'une nuit et heureusement, enfin sachez que ce n'est pas le camping qui met des moustiques mais que c'est un problème dés que l'on est au bord de l'eau, sans rancune malheureusement, à jamais.... cordialement

Понравилось Well we planned to only stay 1 night but ended up staying an extra night, so it was positive. Great site for the money really. Receptionist very friendly but spoke very little English, but not through the lack of trying, we managed to hold a conversation and get the relevant information. Given a nice pitch right on the end (33 for reference!) which was extremely spacious, however it did come with a twist, see dislikes. Being so close to the River was brilliant as we had some Kayaks which was easily accessible and what a great clean river it was. The River goes right around the campsite with a couple of Weirs in between and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it and even the Wife aswell! Pool nice and clean, the flumes were dated but really was nothing wrong with them. Kids had a right laugh on them which is what it's about. Facilities decent enough, clean & warm water. No toilet roll though. If I forgot the toilet roll I used the paper towel meant for drying hands! The staff recommended the pizza restaurant over the road and it didn't disappoint. Well worth visiting but make a reservation, it's very busy! The high ropes over the bridge (5 mins walk at the most) worth every penny. Unlimited from 10am to 7pm for €39, 1 adult, 8 & 3 yr old. Brilliant fun. We did 3 hours and were exhausted by the end. The free Wifi is not even worth bothering with, it is so slow, but we were as far away as you could get so maybe didn't help. There is wifi you can pay for but we didn't.

Не понравилось Turns out there are some pretty scummy dog owners about. As mentioned we were in a nice spacious spot on the end, but apparently dog owners saw this space as somewhere to let the dogs do their business. Fine, they've got to go at some point, but at least pick it up!! Only saw 1 dog owner pick it up. Unless thing is a strange French thing then it's more of a moan at the people on site than the Staff but it's something to be aware of, if they weren't aware. As it definitely had a 'wiff' about the pitch.

Понравилось Easy check in, receptionist very friendly and spoke basic English. Basically told to pick any pitch we wanted, which was easy enough. Facilities all good, warm water, clean. The beach was brilliant, clean river, kids loved it. Little platform for them to climb onto and jump off. The wier was great fun with lots of locals jumping off it and the diving board was a nice touch too. We walked into the local town during the day and visited the underground church, I am not big on my history but it was amazing and well worth the visit (2 adults, 8 yr old & 3 yr old - €19). Went in the evening for dinner and the Prego Pizzeria was lovely. Be warned, it's a steep walk up! We had only booked 1 night as we were planning moving around but we stayed an extra night. We were given a free drink token to use at the bar but we never got around to trying the bar.

Понравилось Way better than we ever expected. Easy to find, friendly staff on arrival. We had no idea it was run by English so it was a pleasant surprise, lots of English friendly people staying on site too. Showed to our pitch and around the place soon as we arrived. Site is amazing, so quiet, clean facilities. Local on site bar/restaurant which we ate in twice and not a single fault to be had. Fish & chips was lovely! Prices reasonable. Pool was great, kids loved it. We actually loved it so much we extended our stay by an extra 2 nights. Only moving on as we planned to move around in France but we hope this site hasn't ruined our expectations of other sites! So many other campers on site say they come here every year, so I think that speaks for itself. We cycled into town, only 10 minutes ride. Experienced the food market that was on a Tuesday, very nice food. Added bonus that we didn't realise, really good Wifi in all areas of the site. (80mb) Better than my Wifi at home!

Не понравилось My only real criticism is that the pool needs a bit of TLC, few loose tiles around the edges, but I really am being picky. I am sure the staff would do this before it came dangerous.

Понравилось Very peaceful and out of the way. Quiet site with good features. Clean toilet/shower facilities with hot water. Had a pool but we didn't get time to use it, looked decent enough. Staff helpful albeit very little English but hey, we are in France after all! We just stopped as an overnight stay on the way down South but it was perfect for us. Service point right outside to dump toilet & greywater too. Had a nice park and some playing space for the kids too.

Не понравилось Only really the directions to get there. To be fair I did read after not to follow the sat nav but I hadn't seen it. It took my motorhome down streets really not suitable for a motorhome only to be brought to a dead end and had to reverse the whole way out, obviously a road that's been shut and the maps not updated. No issues with the site itself at all.

Понравилось Excellent view over the boating lake, clean toilets & washing up area, nice hot showers. There is an open area for playing football nearby, plenty to do, beach very close, good cycle routes I couldn't find any info on this prior, but the boating lake is for model boats, we had brought some kayaks with us so we went out on the River instead which is only a very short walk anyway.

Не понравилось A people problem rather than a site issue, but the people next to us setup literally up to the edge of our pitch so as a result kept on having to walk onto our pitch to get out. Just felt very close quarters and not good for privacy so we kept the curtains that side shut for the time we were there...

Не понравилось Very minor but we had issues turning the electric on, still waiting for the call back from the manager 3 days later, luckily managed to sort it Wifi cuts in and out but again minor as that's not what we go away for
