Понравилось Site is kept very clean and tidy.Ataff are very helpful. Terrific setting in tge valley which is picturesque. On site bar and restaurant. Natural haven for wildlife. Good kids play area. Owner provided me with 2 screws to fix my broken drain tap bracket on my campervan. Pay in advance ehu on a smart card with unused £ refunded. Wer suit wash area.

Не понравилось Coming towards end of season and no hot food in restaurant and limited choice of beers with no draught. Large logs used to prevent driving on grassy areas are just the right height to catch drain taps on and difficult to see in the darkas there's no lighting near the touring pitches. Some close road noise.

Не понравилось Water tap hanging of the wall and leaking (pitch 27) However maintenance guy said he would fix it after I reported it to reception.

Понравилось All site facilities, especially tge bar and chippy. Toilets and showers were clean and the water hot.

Не понравилось Horse flies in top field. Got several significant bites first thing in the morning...suggest you wear insect repellant at all times

Понравилось Pretty much everything. Beautiful, well maintained site. Good shop selling local meats, wine and most essentials. Clean toilets and showers. Nice glazing tents. Cool rope swings over the stream.

Не понравилось The massive potholes in tge approach Road (Barrowden Road). Take care or you'll break your suspension. Most Pitches are far from level.

The road you are refereeing is the responsibility of Rutland County Council to maintain and we have been asking them to carry out repairs for several months now. This repair is due to take place within the next week 22/6/26.

Понравилось On site facilities, woodland walk, toilet and shower block, site cleanliness, site manager, pub staff, price.

Не понравилось Food was greasy and pretty basic. Late checking screen not working so had to locate site manager to allocate pitch.

Понравилось Proximity to pub, gardens, encloses secure site. Kids play area.

Не понравилось They had recently had a bush fire at the back of the site which may have been from A campfire or bbq. Food only served until 8:30. Mon-Frid. Thought we'd already paid for electric but needed to pay £3 for a single night hookup.

Не понравилось £12 COMPULSORY green club membership. No waste water disposal for either casette or grey water. Only Composting toilets for campers when normal WC toilets were available elsewhere on site.

От менеджера: Thank you for your review we are glad that you appreciated the peace and quiet of the orchard. We do have grey water waste but not black and this is explained to anyone that asks. The reason for this is that our site is on a cesspit rather than the mains and chemicals in black waste will destroy the cultures of the cesspit which is not an option. Our camping license is through the Greener Camping Club and therefore the £12 membership is compulsory and gives access to around 150 sites throughout England and Wales. We really can't do anything about this and always hope that people coming to our site will visit other eco friendly sites using their membership. The compost toilets are in keeping with the ethos of the Greener Camping Club, I feel that you weren't aware of what we are about, funnily enough we get so many compliments about our compost toilets from campers who are on board with Eco Camping. The other toilets are on a different part of the site, not accessible to campers and actually belong to a different business. Your poor review feels a little unfair as you did know the costs upfront and could of chosen a different site if you weren't happy to pay them. We will continue to pride ourselves on our popular, cosy (but spacious pitches) eco campsite and wish you all the best

Понравилось Fully serviced hardstanding, tge views, tge cafe, tge toilets and showers. Well prepared welcome even though reception was closed.

Не понравилось No hose fitting on taps. Note to self... keep various tap fittings in the van, just in case.

Понравилось Gatwd site, so safe for dogs and children. Perfectly flat hardstanding pitch with hookup, water fill and waste drains. Very helpful landlady. All pub facilities accessible.

Не понравилось No showers. A breakfast option in the pub would have scored a 10/10, sadly not available on the day.

Понравилось pitch size (half a tennis court, electric hookup, washing , showers & toilet facilities excellent and cleaned daily. Loads of bars, swimming pool & shop. Burger bar, Rum Bar (mobile catering). were a great initiative.

Не понравилось Noisy teenagers (but they were quiet after midnight). I paid for a separate pitch for just me in a one man tent. It would be great to have shared the pitch with my daughter's family, but they had a tent and a gazebo. plenty of room to fit in my small tent as well though. Make it an option for next year please? Wifi kept dropping out-but not surprising on such a large site with so many people streaming downloads etc.
