The effort put into making your stay is as good as it can be, you can't ask for more than that from any camp site.

Some will always find things to moan about, but that's not us. You have to be able to have a great time, regardless of any negatives.

The site was beautiful. Had everything we needed. It was well maintained and had great facilities, including an onsite lake which was really cool. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Would absolutely stay again.

Great spot tucked into the hills, short drive to some incredible places.

The road was tight getting in, so it’s understandable that big vans would be uncomfortable, but for our transporter it was no issue at all, take it slow, there’s plenty of spots for lay-bys.

Beautiful, quiet location. A small site in a stunning setting with its own lake, and walk into the surrounding hillside. The owner is in site and is very knowledgeable about walks in the surrounding area. Great area for walking

Although it didn't bother us, some people might find the lane from the village to the campsite very narrow. There are passing places, so just take it slowly.

Pick nick table, large pitches, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very helpful host.

Nothing

The campsite was quiet and a hideaway as the title suggests. The campsite owner is very hard-working and efficient at keeping everything clean and like clockwork. It was lovely to have a campfire in the evening. Perfect location for avoiding the crowds.. Although there was only one Shower in the female block, there was never a queue. Plenty of hot water for washing up and showers. Excellent, we will be back..

The rain

Toilet, shower and washing up facilicite were great, cleaned daily and not too busy at all - there are a limited number but that was not an issue, even on a weekend in July.
The actual tent pitch was perfect, the picnic table and firepit were even more useful than we thought they would be. The site was quite, apart from distant sounds of children playing in the woods and chatter at tents - it was lovely.
The town nearby has absolutely stunning views over the bay and of Harlech Castle. There are many wonderful independent shops there too.

As other reviews have described, the drive up from the main road is a difficult one the first time up - but we went up and down a couple of times a day, even had to reverse for a tractor of a neighbouring farm, but we managed!
Also, although we loved the vibe of the owners leaving us to ourselves, it did feel a little odd that check in was less than a minute long and nobody answered at the farmhouse when we knocked to buy firewood (other visitors managed and we only knocked once to be fair).

The best holiday so far! The campsite was quiet on that week, what was just I need of..! Lovely area, nice walks around and the view is beautiful! Couldn’t give a go for the canoe, because the weather wasn’t the best. Clean toilet and shower block. The owners are lovely and very helpful! Loads to see in driving distance!
