Gorgeous location, lovely spacious pitches, very clean facilities (looked after regularly!), friendly owner. Great for the kids to play and explore! We had amazing neighbours and the very kind owner gave us extra time to pack away and vacate the pitch as the weather in the morning had been so bad - Thank you!!

The single track road was a little tight in places for our folding camper!! But we managed! Just! Otherwise, nothing to dislike here!

We were given the orchard pitch which meant that we essentially had our own private area which was a lovely bonus. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were all we needed and were kept clean. We enjoyed borrowing the canoe and going out on the lake. The location was good for the places that we wanted to visit. The small lanes up to the campsite were at first quite taxing but we quickly became used to them and it only added to the sense of adventure felt at the site as a whole.

We liked its woodland setting, the fact that a stream runs near by with a little waterfall.

There was a unisex disabled facility with shower, sink, toilet and baby changing.

We also found that the staff were friendly and It was reasonably priced being in the main season too.

We may return, and it maybe worth a visit out out of season.

We disliked the road getting to and from the campsite.

There was only one male shower and one male toilet which wasn't enough. In the ladies there was only shower and two toilets, again not enough. On the plus side there was a unisex disabled facilities with a shower and baby changing as mentioned above.

We loved how remote and quiet it is. Stunning location with the little lake and the valley is beautiful. I found a couple of spots to get in the river. Spacious pitches with a bench and fire pit. The owner worked hard to chat and make sure everything was provided, even fairy liquid and sponges if you’d forgotten. Although the facilities were small, we never had a wait and it didn’t feel too busy. Pub and beach at the end of the room make it brilliant

Horse flies! Everywhere in the valley. I’m covered in bites so bring the bug spray. At least the warm weather meant fewer midges. But even then- so many birds and bats. I’ll put up with a few bites for a pristine bit of countryside. One of the kids also picked up a tiny tick from the bracken, but unfortunately this is more common everywhere.

Amazing hikes from the campsite very quite and peaceful , will definitely be back in the future.

Some nice secluded corners in a fairly large site, that does indeed feel like a remote hideaway in the hills.
