Fireworks are shot from the beach on Bastille Day and from the village on 15 August. The ‘9 écluses de Fonsérannes’ (the nine locks of Fonsérannes) are 20 kilometres away and the locks of Libron are ten kilometres away, in the direction of Vias, Several hiking and cycling trails are easy to access nearby, including the beginnings of the Cévennes and their mountain scenery including the Caroux to the north, and the paths among the vineyards of the Coteaux du Languedoc. You can also visit the caves of the region, such as Clamouse, Devèze, Demoiselles, Labeil and the giant chasm of Cabrespine in the Aude. On the way to the medieval city of Carcassonne, stop off in the wine AOC of Corbières or have a detour to Fontfroide Abbey.
