Не понравилось: Not a proper campsite, simply the garden of a house. Facilities not as advertised. Owner locked the gate and us in at night and was clearly stressed, telling us of women being abducted and having their head cut off. The lavatory was inside the owners house and did not have a sink to wash hands in. We were not given access to any shower or kitchen facilities. There are no obvious facilities for Campervans and the owner was concerned that our wheels would sink in the wet grass so we had to park next to the gate. We would not return to this location. We had to pay as much as we did at proper sites with full facilities-so poor value as well as an uncomfortable experience.

Не понравилось: This site may be fine in summer, but in November the facilities did not match your description. We asked for the bathroom. Our host looked horrified and said that we had not paid for bathroom facilities ( news to us as it was in the pitchup spec). Being stoically british, we said that all we need is a toilet. This, it turned out, was in her own home, and had no was handbasin, really not hygienic when you are camping!! We were told that the door to her home would be locked at night, and when we pointed out we would then have no access to a toilet, we were told we could just "go in the garden". We were camped in her front garden, and going out for an evening meal entailed being "let out" and having to ring her on return to get back in, and having gates locked behind you, and being told like naughty teenagers "ok that's it now, no more going out!". The description of this as a campsite where one would expect a reasonable level of autonomy within certain rules was not what we experienced. In fairness, we slept well, as it was very peaceful, although we reflected that it was fortunate that none of us needed more than a wee in the night! It was also fortunate that we had brought hand-wipes, as this was our only way to keep our hands clean. Altogether, this was an unsettling and unhygienic experience, and in no way matched the pitchup description. We were beginning to use pitchup as we have just aquired a campervan, but this experience has severely undermined our confidence in your site.
