Понравилось Beautiful, simple, naturalistic setting, rustic but well thought out, nicely designed facilities including excellent showers and nice big fire pits, well located for access to Lyme Regis and Charmouth, and obvious care, time and thought put in to minimising the environmental impact of the site.

Не понравилось Despite the tranquility of the location there was a surprising amount of road noise into the night, obviously not the fault of the site but a bit of a shame. The site was almost empty during our stay so understandably no coffee or pizza, just would have been nice to know this in advance. No pub/shops in easy walking distance, so come prepared to be self sufficient.

Понравилось Just had another lovely stay at Brigs farm and after seeing some of the previous reviews I thought I should leave one of my own.

For potential new visitors the site location is around 1 mile from Charmouth, in a North, north, westerly direction. Access is via small lanes with passing places. The gateway to the site is sign posted clearly, the drive is made up of compacted rubble rather than a pristine tarmac coated surface.

When you arrive you may be greeted by Mew who will emerge from the house on the left. Otherwise, he may be around the site somewhere. Basically, find an empty pitch and stake your claim.

The site is very eco-friendly so recycle everything in the bins provided, or at the recycling area on the right as you leave. Be conscious that the water is extracted from a borehole and shared with a nearby farm, so in time of drought be mindful of your water usage.

The layout of the site is a ring around a field with the centre of the field being left to grow wild.

There are toilets and showers in wooden buildings around the site. The toilets are of the composting variety, so both men and women are required to sit when using. This is because the urine and poo need to be separated to make sure aerobic decomposing occurs. If the two mix air cannot decompose the poo and anaerobic decomposition happens and a by product is a nasty smell. To encourage sitting, there’s a lovely view from the toilets of Charmouth and the sea. It’s one of the best views from a toilet I’ve seen.

The nearest shop is located in Charmouth (///derailed.backdrop.waddle ) and there is a community honesty shop in Wootton Fitzpaine (///skips.stables.walls)

I saw in the site comments someone mentioned they could hardly see the sea, and in the immortal words of Basil Fawlty, “The sea is over there between the land and the sky”. It is easily visible from most of the site and toilets.

Понравилось Lovely views of the countryside and the sea set in a beautiful location.
The campsite is not overwhelmed with pitch sites, which means even when busy, it did not feel cramped or overcrowded but very calm. The showers were powerful, hot and well designed with hooks and kept very clean.
Having the option for barista-made coffees in the morning and wood-fired pizza on site made the experience really special and easy.
Would highly recommend!

Понравилось This was such a lovely quiet campsite a real chance to immerse yourself in nature. Quiet, dark and ideal for time away from it all. The sea views are a bonus. Showers were warm and powerful and the composting toilets were clean and did not smell. I will be back.

Понравилось We liked everything about Briggs Farm, from the compost toilets and lovely hot showers to the peaceful atmosphere and view of the distant sea.
