Понравилось We really liked the spacious and well-separated pitches, which gave us plenty of privacy and made the site feel very peaceful. Each pitch was a good size and even had its own little bench, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we really enjoyed the layout and the relaxed atmosphere.

Не понравилось Unfortunately, there were a few significant downsides. The main issue was the men’s sanitary facilities. There was visible black mould in the showers, which is concerning from a hygiene and health perspective. The toilets also did not feel particularly clean and showed clear signs of heavy use, making the overall sanitary facilities quite unpleasant to use.

Another thing to be aware of is the noise. The campsite itself was peaceful in terms of the other guests, but there was a lot of noise from the nearby railway and road. Trains passed frequently and continued until around 10:30 pm during our stay, so it was quite noisy well into the evening. If you are sensitive to noise, this is definitely something to keep in mind.

Понравилось Great site, excellent amount of space for children to play, near to gorgeous town of Amble. Showers are hot and the toilets are clean. Worked really well with us, 4 families with many children who played outside all the time. Dinner and drinks in the pub, excellent, great range of food, well priced, very accommodating. Great range of meals on offer, good standard pub fare.

Не понравилось Pub only open Wednesday to Sunday. We arrived on a Monday. Pub seemed to shut at 9, which seemed weird and we would have liked a few more drinks.
Set up is very basic. No WiFi on site. There is WiFi in the pub, when it is open.

Понравилось Friendly welcome Great pub with excellent food. Book a table to avoid disappointment.
Enjoyed our stay but mainly because of the pub.
Despite my honest comments below if the owners cleaned up the site and refurbished the toilets I would book again but mainly because of the Railway station which was a train spotters dream and the excellent pub.

Не понравилось I can understand why there have been negative reviews.
In the area we were in, you were crammed in like sardines. In fact on ONE pitch which was larger there were two motorhomes and a tent box. Very little space. However the rest of the site was open plan and looked quite nice.
Lots of large commercial vehicles on site. The toilet block was a disgrace and it was like steptos yard full of junk around with old tyres and the rubbish collection was just an open skip.
Way over priced at £38 a night.

Понравилось Great location lovely site and pub. The food was excellent. The owners were lovely. Within a great area.

Не понравилось The facilities were dirty. The bathrooms do need updating, but that wasn't a problem for me. It was the loos that were progressively more grim each day and never stocked. The showers were dirty and big hairballs In the drain. Would be good to leave a mop etc for people to clean up after themselves

Понравилось Handy location for national trust property. Pub onsite lights on a night at each pitch so well lit. Food available,average .beer £4.90 a pint . Dog friendly allowed on one side to eat.

Не понравилось Facilities not clean on site or in pub. Didn't use showers as this put me off.felt we were squashed into a gap as tents either side were spread out .might have been better on a gravel pitch as these looked set up better WiFi in pub but doesn't reach to pitches.
Had better for less money

Не понравилось Toilet blocks, train and road noise, rubbish around the plots, plots not being maintained, rubbish skip overflowing, rubbish on the floor.

Понравилось We have been to this site a few times now, the pitches are huge, and well levelled. Everyone is helpful and friendly.

Не понравилось Not really the sites fault, but we were near the camping field, where 3 families arrived with two tents on the Monday, we were pleased to hear they were staying two nights, as the screaming from one side of the site across to the facilities was horrific, kids swearing, letting there balls hit parked cars, fires going and shouting ruined this sites quiet relaxing vibe

Понравилось Nice location and close to main road A1 which means you can visit loads down the coast easily. Food was excellent in in the pub would definitely recomend eating there.

Не понравилось Toilets in need of an update. Shame others campers were not in control of there children so were out shouting till past 11 at night not owners of the site fault.
