Понравилось We arrived Saturday evening (6.30pm) and left 10.00am Sunday so did not stay very long. Booked non-electric pitch. Checked in with friendly staff at the very busy bar, and told to pick one of the pitches available in the field (handy site map provided).

Due to some pitches not marked out there were only 2 visible spaces for our van. This is great if there's a few of you that want to pitches together, but was a little annoying that a whole corner was taken up by cars belonging to nearby tents (had we been there longer we'd have wanted/requested a bit more space).

The atmosphere on the site was fun and you could see different groups with the kids getting together in the field for a game of football. Lovely to watch.

We didnt use the pub but was very busy. A group near us brought pizzas back to tent which looked and smelt amazing.

Dog friendly and everyone respectful of noise and 'lights out' in the evening.

Great location for exploring the dales.

Не понравилось The toilets and showers are all in one block (I did only use the one toilet block, there is another but didnt see it). Floor very wet and because the site was so busy (and the time in the evening) lots of waiting and tissue etc on floors. Couldn't wash my hands after toilet because a large group of teens/young adults washing faces and brushing teeth etc would be better as separate blocks.

Понравилось Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The onsite pub is a lovely touch, very cosy and a perfect escape after pitching up or a long hike when you're seeking comfort and a drink! Reasonably priced too. The shop is only open for a couple of hours in a morning, selling plenty of essentials as well as hot drinks and pastries if you want a morning treat with your brew! This is in an ideal location if you're wanting to explore the local area, we did travel further afield for a day trip to the lakes which wasn't a bad drive! The campsite overall was well maintained and kept tidy, with fellow campers respecting the area.

Не понравилось Unfortunately we weren't able to sample the pizzas that initially drew us into booking this site! We arrived on the Friday and went to book online and they were already "sold out" for the following night. Taking into consideration how busy the campsite was, surely they could be better prepared and make more dough with 24hours notice? The shower facilities also let this site down. Although the showers were a great temperature, the showers flooded resulting in the toilet & changing area becoming that wet it was difficult to get dressed without your clothes getting wet in the process. They also weren't the cleanest, but I don't necessarily think this is completely down to the staff as I did witness them being cleaned. I just think the bad drainage system causes an issues with excessive use.

Понравилось Easy to find, bar on site and woodfired pizza early on Tuesday evening. Good location.

Не понравилось The grass electric pitches are lovely for the views but exposed, and as it rained heavily a lot of the time, we worried about getting stuck. Could do with some low hedges rather than grassy mounds.

Не понравилось Not shown where to park and when I found the pitch there was no space to pull out awning. There was only enough space for the van. When I arrived at site I saw online about wood fired pizzas. You need to pre-order these which to fair makes sense. I asked very politely explaining my situation and I was told quite bluntly pre order only. I’m sure putting two pizzas in the oven could be done to wow a customer. I arrived on site hungry and had to drive to settle to get a takeaway. I probably would not come back. I would check other local sites which there is many and go else where.

Понравилось The place is massive with numerous things to do. Plenty of sunshine too. The pub was a nice place too. Overall the place is very well maintained. One of the best I've been to.

Не понравилось The stench of urine almost knocked me out when using the main toilet block. The rest of the toilet blocks were ok.

Не понравилось Needed better storage in showers only one had a hanging basket to hold your items when showering, the other two didn't and everything in the shower room became wet

We were put in the field by the rd, really busy road all through the night had hardly any sleep we only stayed for two nights.
Nice site but dont stay by the road
