Понравилось Great spot, lots of space to pitch a tent, great facilities, very clean and quite useful to have a kettle. Lots of space to play in the adjacent field and quite quiet and tranquil first thing and in the evenings when walking about.

Не понравилось No real dislikes.

Понравилось Very relaxed, the owners were friendly and accommodating. Super dog friendly. Shower blocks were clean and well maintained.

Понравилось We had the best couple of days away. Our first ever camping trip and Roy was the perfect host. Spent time talking to us on arrival and made us feel very welcome

The amenities were brilliant. Clean and tidy. Fridges, freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster available. And a washing machine and tumble dryer. Dog poo bins stocked with poop bags. Nice touch especially with kids around.

Huge area for the kids to run around the grounds are so clean and tidy.

Lovely and quiet too. Couldn’t have asked for more for our first trip.

We’ll definitely visit again.

Не понравилось The only thing that was a slight inconvenience was the roads in. Single track for the last mile or so and lots of potholes. Not the owners fault and with a slow drive in, not an issue

Понравилось Lovely flat pitches, amazing views, showers & toilets clean, owners really friendly.

Не понравилось The road to the site is bad. It isn't the owners fault & he is in conversation with the council to get it sorted.

Понравилось How quiet it was
Maze for the children was a winner
Pitch sizes are huge
Friendly owners
Feild for us to play game and dog to run around
Fridge, freezers
Microwave
Toilet and shower facilities were big enough to fit me and my 3 children in at once.
Price was amazing for what we received.

Не понравилось Roads getting to it were not the nicest. Not a fault from the site though.

Unfortunately being in the country the roads are not maintained as much as the major ones hence the reason for the bumpy roads on route to Hawthorne Farm.

Понравилось Lovely site with friendly staff, very useful utility room with fridges, washer etc. Gorgeous short walk around the next field. Quiet area, great for looking at the stars/ meteor shower of an evening!
Very well organised, with plenty of access to drinking water and only a short scenic walk through to the facilities.

Не понравилось Showers were a little temperamental.
Not that the site can do anything about it but the roads around the area are awful unless you own a tractor.

We have checked all of them and they seem to be all working correctly. The temperature control should be adjusted slightly either way, if it's turned too far too quickly it will cause a rapid change in temperature.

Peace and quiet. Comfortable, flat grass pitch. Spotlessly clean toilets and showers. Kind, helpful and friendly site-owner.

Понравилось Whats not to like.
Booked here to try out our new tent as we have recently changed from caravanning to try camping.

We were surprised how much we enjoyed this stay considering we have always been used to have all the facilities in our tourer and entertainment on site etc.

Beautiful location, peaceful and well kept
Very rare to find a place that welcomes dogs so openly and gives them so much freedom. there are several areas to walk the dogs where they are safe and secure with plenty of bins to put the bags in (they even supply the bags). the owners Dog Stanley is a gentle giant, so calm when other dogs around and so friendly.
The owners couldn't be nicer either, friendly welcome to the site and shown to pitch which was a very generous sized area (12m x 12m). later in the evening we had a slight swarm of bugs decend on us but Linzi brought us some burning sticks to repel them a lighter to light them and even a can of fly spray just in case. we offered to pay for them but she declined and said she just wanted us to be comfortable, to me that was definitely going the extra mile. We like the place so much we called my sister who book the non electric grass pitch across from us. We had a wonderful time there and would stay again in a heartbeat.

As my sister remarked, if this was the the 4 in a bed show we would definitely pay extra, it was worth every penny
