Понравилось An absolute gem of a find. Cheap for what you get which is a great pitch and a quiet field.

Are there teething issues yes but this is their first year doing this and from what I heard from the farmer (Richard) they have got some great plans for the coming years.

Will I be coming here again, yes I will 👍🏾

Понравилось We had the most incredible time. Honestly could not have asked for more friendly hosts. Nothing was too much to ask. We felt so welcomed there. The campsite was perfect for what we wanted. We've just booked to go back... See you in a couple of weeks!

Не понравилось We disliked having to leave! We didn't want to go home!

Понравилось The hosts were just fantastic - so friendly and happy! My kids loved the open field where they played cricket and rounders. The size of the tent was really amazing and we had a really relaxing day. The farm shop was great and the farmer made a smashing cup of tea! Just wanted to say sorry to the hosts for leaving muddy footprints in the tent- we tried to clean them up but ran out of wipes! Loved the experience overall.

Не понравилось The flashing fairy lights behind our tent were a little annoying but we understood why they were there.

Понравилось everything richard and Wendy were none stop checking all there guests were all ok nothing was to much trouble we had the best 3 days our last day I sadly got stung 2wice and Wendy gave me an antihistamine tablet and vinger for the sting she was so kind to do that then richard came to check I was OK our holiday was perfect from start to finish thank both for having us can't wait to return

Понравилось I booked an unfurnished bell tent as I was in the area with my 13 year old son and we needed somewhere to stay for three nights. The tent was big and clean and we had brought a couple of old double mattresses with us that we put on the floor. We were out all day and evening, returning in the evening for an hour to shower and change before going out again.

The single shower on site had hot water, reasonable pressure and was clean enough considering it's a campsite - so we were reasonably happy with the facility.

There was loads of space as this is a big field. The grass is cut short and the ground reasonably flat and level. We didn't do anything onsite apart from sleep and shower, although we could easily have cooked with our gas stove had we needed to. I also carry a generator in the van although we didn't use it on this occasion.

Our three night stay was cheap, and was good value for money as it was exactly what we required. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends who have used it since; mostly bikers and van lifers that want somewhere to park up for a night or two when in the area.

I found the owners to be honest, helpful and pleasant to chat with.

Не понравилось Not really a dislike, more of an oversight...the lights in the shower room are the solar type garden lanterns (which are rubbish) so you are changing and showering in the dark - which was a bit of a pain! The shower is electric so it should be easy enough to spur off and fit a proper light so that you can see what you're doing.

Понравилось The location of this campsite was really good - set on a quiet farm field away from the main road, quite peaceful at night (just campers next to us were bit loud till late hours). We stayed in a bell tent which was great value for money and cleaned inside. With some candles and plenty of cushions we brought along, it felt really cosy and homely.

That said, there are a few things that could make the experience even better, which I highlight in disliked section.

Generally speaking, it’s a site with potential, and with a bit more attention to facilities and upkeep, it could be a really great place to stay (I'm saying that comparing to the other sites I've stayed at this year)

Не понравилось There were only two portaloo toilets for the whole site, and unfortunately they weren’t very clean during our stay. For one night stay - we managed, but I can't imagine use them while camping more days... The shower area was completely dark (and not clean either), even in the daytime, so a torch is essential. The farm surroundings looked a little neglected, with all dried plants and general mess, which gave us the impression – despite the site being new on Pitchup – that it wasn’t being kept on top of, or owners simply gave up.. We visited mid-season, but it felt more like the end of October in terms of upkeep. My daughter was hoping to see some farm animals, but we weren’t sure if visitors were allowed in certain areas as there was no one around in the farm shop to ask. Also, while the site is fairly large, the bell tents are pitched so close together, so a little more space for privacy would be a big improvement (especially when campers having inflatable pools for kids)

Понравилось Lovely field.
Not Had own space.
Nice people on site.
Richard owner was very helpful and friendly.
I stayed on 30th July for one night as a solo lady.
I was made welcome and felt very safe.
Basic and cheap.
That's what made it so fantastic.
Will be going again for certain.
I had booked in for the 10 th Aug but a family emergency arose.

Понравилось Lovely area, nice views. Clean and spacious bell tent. Friendly owner. Very affordable.

Не понравилось Two portaloos for a busy campsite. Shower room sink had no running water and was a little grubby. Wasn't clear where we were supposed to check in upon arrival. Bell tents are very close together.

От менеджера: You are welcome to your opinions, which are in the minority. This is a new site and lots to get sorted out, most people would give constructive criticism which we are very open to - why creep off the site and write awful things on your keypad ?- just because you can? Frankly can do without negative, mean minded people on our campsite.

Понравилось The basic bell tent was set up and clean when we arrived. Easy site access and extremely good value. The owners are very friendly and we're clearly going to extra mile for many of the campers. The site facilities are basic but are exactly as described. The toilets and shower were cleaned daily.

Не понравилось One additional portable toilet would be beneficial for the busier weekend
