Gostou Really enjoyed it - good value, easy to find and check in, loads of space, super clean showers and really friendly owners.

Não gostou Portaloos not ideal, and could have done with floor squeegee on hand for showers.

Gostou I was initially disappointed on arrival at our site (not with check in as that process that really quick), but at how small our pitch was for our tent. Most campsites we have stayed at have open green spaces to roam and kick a ball around, whereas this site you barely have room for a tent and 1 car. However, I then remembered we did not book this site for that reason, and if that is solely what you are looking for then this is not for you. Everything else about the site is excellent. The shower block was always in clean condition, the vast facilities are really good (indoor and outdoor pool), pub restaurant, sports bar, 2 entertainment lounges, 5 takeaway places and a kids club, and probably some things I have forgotten about. I was impressed with all of the places visited on site and felt they offered good value for money too. Even though we were in the school holidays we never felt cramped or had to queue for anything which was really good. * Away from the site go to Castle Carvery in nearby Caister, especially on a weekday as £7.50 for a lovely carvery dinner, and free kids carvery for each adult one bought.

Não gostou * The showers near the tent pitch are clean but rarely run hot and don't have much space to keep your clothes dry while showering, instead use the ones near the outdoor pool, only a little further to walk and worth it for a nice shower. * The wine is £14 a bottle in the bar, yet they are selling the same bottle in the shop for £6.99, make of it what you will. * Some of the tent pitches (such as ours) are near a very busy road so bring earplugs to make sure the traffic doesn't stop you sleeping. * Tried several times you sign on for their free wi-fi, but would not log on correctly, just gave up after trying a few times.

Our grass tent pitches are 30ft sq, and if you have a large tent there is limited room to play near to your tent, however we have a Sports Arena (with tennis courts), and play areas on site where there is plenty of room for these activities. We are pleased you found the site to be excellent and enjoyed the swimming pool, entertainment and touring facilities. Sorry to hear you were unable to get the wi-fi from your pitch, if this was reported at the time we would have tried to help.
