Camping L'Amfora

The spectacular beach of Sant Pere Pescador, steps from the site, has seven kilometres of golden sand, two windsurfing areas and a windsurfing school. In town, take a free guided walking tour in summer, or wander the nearby countryside on the banks of the Fluvià river, among apple orchards and a nature trail. The birdwatching haven of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park is 10 minutes' drive to the north. Flocking around these wetlands are around 325 feathered species including spoonbills, cuckoos and nightingales; see what you can spy from one of the seven park hides or high up from the watchtower. All hides as well as the tower are connected by a track suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. For town and city sightseeing, the Greek and Roman excavations of Empùries are within 15 minutes' drive; Figueres is half an hour away and Besalú 45 minutes.
