Camping Sous Le Moulin

Gostou: Good welcome, nice roomy pitches. The view of the mountains is lovely and the surroundings we stunning. Self-serve kayak hire (via app) is a great idea. No dislikes but just good to knows, unless you’re on the front row, you can’t see the lake.

Gostou: Decent size pitches with lake view, in a beautiful location - good for cycling. Pleasant walk up the hill through the village to an organic goat farm where you can buy their produce including cheese. Clean facilities. Straightforward check-in. Able to order bread on site for morning.

Não gostou: The facilities appear to be undergoing renovation, so will potentially improve shortly but whilst we were there (end July 2023) it seemed there were only 2 showers in use (warm and powerful) in the old sanitary block at the far end of the site. We didn’t actually have to wait and it wasn’t an issue as we only stayed one night.

Gostou: Location next to lake is perfect, food available on site in the evening is nice as we attended the BBQ, toilets and showers are basic and outdated and only 1 block working which was a considerable distance from pitch. Staff appeared helpful and competent. It’s fairly isolated so take provisions. Check if booking via Pitchup as had no reservation for us and another family despite full payment in advance and only way to resolve was to pay in full again for another 2 reservations and still haven’t had money refunded. Owner also claimed to never of heard of Pitchup.

Only way to secure accommodation was to pay site direct again so €130 paid twice, still waiting for refund and communication between site and Pitchup dubious with quotes like “they refused a refund” ……not true, would be nice if Pitchup sorted this debacle out asap.

Gostou: La tranquillité et le calme Le lac (sans moustiques ! Mais + pour pêcher/paddle que pour se baigner) L'ambiance familiale La superficie de l'emplacement

Não gostou: Pas de petits commerces (épicerie ou cie) à proximité mais vente de pains/viennoiseries sur place (++!)

Não gostou: Disgusting dirty and outdated sanitary Staff seemed extremely disinterested and overworked Dirty pitches with piles of rubble Litter everywhere Staff did not say anything about the wildfire which was very close

Gostou: Le cadre,la simplicité de la structure, les grands emplacements ombragés,le terrain de pétanque,la convivialité,le cout.

Não gostou: les sanitaires trop rustiques. les incendies alentour et leurs retombées (odeurs,genes respiratoires).

Não gostou: no shop on site pitches not clearly marked - was told to pitch up anywhere - but there were very few places left have to order bread the night before - was not told this upon arrival - receptionist who checked us in was very minimalistic
