For a trip taking in a true spectacle of nature, try out Argoed Meadow Camping and Caravan Park on the banks of the River Teifi – this site’s in a peaceful area less than a five-minute walk from the famed spot where salmon leap up Cenarth Falls when ready to spawn. (These acrobatic fish are best seen in September and October, so bring a rod and your angling licence for a chance to catch a couple if you’re strolling around south Wales in autumn…) Outside these months, roam along the riverside to take in Cenarth village’s 200-year-old bridge and 17th-century flour mill with its cast iron and timber wheel. A handful of craft shops and a well-stocked food store are here too, while the artisanal eats of Caws Cenarth Cheese are a 10-minute drive away. To browse at a bigger town, Newcastle Emlyn is just over five minutes away by car: head here for a farmers’ market and cafés, plus the ruins of a castle and a nearby leisure centre with indoor pool. Fancy a splash about in the open air instead? Beaches are less than 25 minutes in the car from Argoed Meadow Camping and Caravan Park, including Aberporth (20 minutes) – venture towards Poppit Sands too, a little way past from where the Teifi flows into Carmarthen’s estuary and out to sea. Aberteifi's golf club is just across the bay (and also a 25-minute drive from the site) if you’re looking to practise your putts. The site has a purpose-built toilet – a winner of the Loo of the Year Awards – and a shower block including facilities for people with disabilities. There's also a laundry room, shared freezer, water taps, Calor Gas bottles for sale and a chemical toilet disposal point. Dogs are allowed but need to be kept on a lead.

Gostou: Argoed Meadow lived up to everything I was looking for in a riverside campsite. The people who run the place Rita and Alun are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The regulars at the site are helpful and give great advice when needed. The site is immaculate with grass pitches mown and well looked after. The toilet and showers are spotless and the water was always nice and hot and they are proper showers not these silly push in button ones which I am not a fan but proper shower units with great pressure and hot water (pure bliss). You need a key to enter which is no problems you pick one up on arrival and it is on a lanyard so no hassle whatsoever. If the reason for having a key is to help keep the toilets and showers in tip top condition well it 100% works. They are the best we have been to. We had a riverside pitch with a view of the river that was to die for. Each day we had a Heron fishing in the river about 7yds away from our van. The Wifi was not super fast but it worked and was fast enough to watch Netflix at night and received emails and surf the web during the day. We use 02 and although our phone signal was not brilliant it worked well enough to receive calls and texts. Other people on the site who were with EE and 3 had perfect signals however for us neither the internet or the phone signals were not a problem at all. There is a great walk along the Falls path with fantastic views of the river and wildlife (herons, otters and kingfishers etc). The local shops are great with a small deli 75yds from the entrance to the site with fantastic cheeses and wonderful coffee etc. Directly opposite the deli is a dog friendly pub that serves great food and drinks (again very friendly) there are tea rooms and ice cream parlours all in the 500yds radius of the site. the second pub in the village also serves great food and drink but you may need to book on busy weekends. Everything about this site for us was just perfect we had a lovely long weekend there last week (may 2025) Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. the place is just super relaxing. Highly highly recommended

Gostou: Immaculately maintained site with quite possibly the best toilet and shower facilities we have ever found. Beautiful peaceful location within easy walking distance to local pubs and of course, Cenarth falls. Highly recommend the three horseshoes for a great steak and friendly staff. My only suggestion to the lovely owners would be to install a dog waste bin. Looking forward to revising later in the year.

Gostou: We had a lovely one night stay at the campsite. Toilets very clean, warm and lights activated at night. We parked next to the river on a grass pitch. Highly recommended. Reception not onsite, signposted opposite the entrance to tell you where to go. Perfect location.

The site was peaceful spacious and very clean and tidy.
Even the Regulars in there seasonal Caravans were friendly and helpful.

Gostou: Lovely site in a good spot on the river. Was very quiet when we visited, suited us perfectly. Nice walk around the falls, a handy deli, 2 pubs in easy walking distance. We ate at the three horseshoes and they have local ales and local produce on the menu. Facilities are as good as advertised, very welcome to find a warm space when showering. We recommend this site for a relaxing stay.

Gostou: Excellent pitch. Lovely quiet site that has everything you could need. The owner Geraint was great to us. The shower & toilet block was immaculate.
It was our first time to stay overnight in our VW and this was absolutely perfect.
We are really looking forward to returning and doing the same again.
We were pitched right next to the river, which was really nice to do.

Gostou: Fantastic site, next to river, very well maintained with free WIFI.
The Toilet/Shower facilities are the best I've seen on any site.

Two pubs within walking distance both doing very nice meals.
Bus stops on main road with services to Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn/ Carmarthen.

If you’re not so fond of fishing, other water-based activities are to be had from this site as well: knock about The National Coracle Centre At Cenarth Falls (five minutes' walk) to find out about the local link with these unusual rounded boats, glimpsing crafts from as far away as Tibet and Vietnam. Rather get out into the local landscape? The Dyfed Riding Centre is 20 minutes’ drive away for trots on horseback; for explores using your own two feet instead, head to Cardigan Bay (20 minutes) and keep your eyes peeled for the dolphins and porpoises who call this coast home. Cardigan Castle, one of the 100 or so left standing in Wales, is in this estuary town as well. If older kids are clamouring for rides instead of ruins, try the people-pleasing Megafobia rollercoaster at Oakwood Theme Park (45 minutes' drive). Younger members of your pack might prefer the animals at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (also 45 minutes).

Chegadas e partidas

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Geral

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Lotes

Pitches: a 10,00 £ (11,47 €) deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
