Pet Rescue Fundraising Campsite

Gostou The campsite was beautifully situated and really easy to find. The plots were more than big enough on Site 2. The toilets and shower while basic were perfect! The showers were lovely and clean and easy to use. The campsite is near to many different destinations, worth the money and worth switching off from the internet for a a few days with signal not being great on site. The campsite was always quiet and everyone was respectful. The welcome was informative and the owners were kind in supporting us in any way they could!

Do gestor: Thank you for your comprehensive review we are sure it will help other campers see the positive side of small family run for charity sites.
We have found most campers like a break from the internet and those that need it for work normally have their own from the service provider.
Plus we were quoted a huge amount of money for WiFi £3000+ and as we raise funds for our on site charity Pet rescue welfare we definitely cant afford it.

Gostou superb location, no wifi, but that should not be an issue. 1/4 mile from village of deserth and its couple of nice pubs.
pitch very spacious, amenities are good, toilets, showers and dish washing. on site food and bar if required. good base for clwydian mountains.
main road could be heard throughout the night, it was busy due to a local event ongoing, normally its a quiet road in the evening. highly recommended

Gostou Stayed for 1 night and absolutely loved it. Large pitches to fit out car and tent, plenty of toilet and shower facilities. Added bonus of a catering van and a bar on the weekends. Staff were very friendly and helpful and gorgeous scenery.

Não gostou Only site I know that requires vaccine certificates for dog. I get why - but it needs to be stated more clearly upon booking.
By the time you get the text its too late to cancel. Their answer to everything is to check T&Cs - so I advise to check very carefully before you book.
I had a certificate but couldn't stay because we had van trouble and poorly dog. Didn't get a refund - reason being in T&Cs.

Do gestor: Sorry you were disappointed but it is on this site pitchup T&C DOGS and on the confirmation email highlighted from our own. 2. Upon arrival, proof of an up-to-date vaccine (photo of V/card or Email on your phone) is required for your pet to stay on-site. This requirement protects both our pet visitors and the rescue dogs from illness.

You didn't arrive because of a pets illness and it normal with any booking site on short notice cancellation there are no refunds. You were only booked in for 1 NIGHT and camping fee help support our on site PET RESCUE charity and most animal lovers are only to pleased to donation the princely sum of £18.70 to our efforts.
As your pet was ill it makes sense to ask for proof of vaccines & we thank you for not bringing a sick dog.
Same day bookings are normally refunded as soon as the confirmation email has been sent if we are notified that same day.

Gostou A great site! Highly recommended, with great facilities with a play area, catering on site, hot showers and even hot tubs that you can hire! The site is very well run and organised. A big shout out and thank you to the team who make sure everyone has an enjoyable time 😃

Gostou Absolutely loved our stay, staff all helpful and friendly. Lovely campsite with basic amenities but super for the price!!
Very keen to keep noise to a minimal after 10pm and kids were all given sweets in the morning if they stayed quiet through the night.

Não gostou Had very noisy rude neighbours on our pitch through one night. However, owner sorted it asap which we were all very grateful for.

Very sorry about your noisy neighbours I always advise camper to phone me (not message as I am asleep) no matter what the time is and I will attend straight away, They were given a warning and told to apologies to everyone they kept awake when I woke them at 8.15am, I think they got the massage.

Gostou Absolutely loved camping here with the family. Have stayed a few times before in a 2 man tent with the eldest and have always found it nice and peaceful but staying with the family was really amazing. Firstly thanks to Marj for being so welcoming and lovely. She was really helpful and it felt like the site was well cared for, she even drove round each morning with a giant sweet bucket for the kids, it felt like a proper family atmosphere. The site itself is in a stunning little location with beautiful surrounding views of the hills around Dyserth. We were mostly lucky with the weather and with the site being really open and spacious, it was lovely siting outside our tent each evening whilst the kids went off and played on the park. This was another bonus, the park is in the centre of the campsite on site 1 and so the kids can go off and play for hours and you can keep your eye on them, never had that at any campsite before, we found it brilliant!

The facilities were great, simple and basic but thats exactly what we love when camping. Toilets/showers/pot wash/water stations etc, were all spotless and working well.

I would highly reccomend staying at this site, we had an absolutely wonderful time and it felt very homely and peaceful during our stay. We shall be back on our next trip definitely!

Não gostou booked last minute, they wouldn’t let us on the site as i didn’t have my dogs vaccination card, which when i read terms and conditions i understood but the woman was very very rude !! wouldn’t refund us or nothing, after driving 3 hours left us stranded in wales would not recommend!

Do gestor: I was not rude but as you were not the person who made the booking or the dogs owner & I had already explained to the young lady who booked and was the dogs owner and she had accepted the reason why I refused admission, as she admitted not reading the T&C on Pitchup or on our email confirmation.
You came into reception shouting demanding a refund as the T&C were broken no refunds are due, the booking was for 3 young adults & a dog for 1 night I think you have caused a fuss were non was required. Visitors starts earned 0*

The T&C for dogs arriving on site are clearly stated}
Please don’t blame the staff if you don’t read our T&C
