Haldon Forest Holiday Park

Gostou: Owners are really friendly, popped round for a chat, always said hello.
Loads of space to find a quiet pitch for the kids to play. Kids loved the play ground.
Really close to the woods which is perfect for cycling. Showers lovely and clean.

Gostou: We really enjoyed our stay. Very big pitches, quiet campsite. A lot of tables available to use. Will definitely recommend to others.

Gostou: Nice big pitches and local to the forest activities.

Não gostou: Unfortunately when we there there, a large group of tradesmen and there caravans were pitched up. The commercial vans were constantly coming and going which spoiled the ambiance somewhat.

Gostou: Pitch size, fantastic location, friendly owners and very peaceful at night.

Não gostou: Site is really tired and unkempt in places, unfortunately some parts resemble a builders site/yard. The photos on Pitchup are very old and don't reflect reality - The play park is worn, the football pitch next to the play park is no longer there and is now in the next field, instead of actual goal posts, there are now makeshift posts using scaffold poles with rusty protruding brackets. The toilet/shower block could be kept cleaner, it just seemed permanently wet and slippery.

When we arrived we drove past a row of traveller caravans, there were no issues with the adults, but their children were vile, rude, threatening and in one instance violent towards another boy.

It's a real shame as the site is huge with so much potential to be much better, the location is fantastic and is a great base to explore South Devon.

Gostou: Love how much room we had to pitch up the tent. The grounds were looked after and clean. The toilets and showers were cleaned each day. The park was a lovely park for the kids to play.

Staff very friendly and fixed an issue we had straight away.

Não gostou: When a group of kids came into the park and were hitting children with rocks and flighting. My children got scared and no parents were around to supervise them. Not the site fault at all my kids just didn’t want up play in there after that.

Gostou: The site was well set up and we had plenty of room on both of our pitches and no immediate neighbours, the park facilities were great for the grandchildren . Toilet and shower facilities were clean and pleasant. The camp was quite quiet despite there being quite a lot of families, which made for lovely weekend of relaxing .

Não gostou: A shop or something would have been nice , just for simple things like ice cream or snacks/ sweets for the kids , but that's just personal choice.

Gostou: Our kids love this campsite, lovely large play ground and football pitch on top field.
The pitches are good size, not boxed in like over campsites
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Good facilities
Like that campfires are allowed

Não gostou: Sadly on this stay, travellers arrived on the campsite. Traveller kids were violent and we had to keep our kids away from the playground. Such a shame.

I hope pitch up look into this

Gostou: Big pitches, lots of open space. Family run. Play park.
Shower block and toilets, relatively clean.

Não gostou: On site shop closed down.
The little hut with food, bar and light evening entertainment now gone.
Gypsies turning up. Their work vehicles getting ready for work early every morning.
People doing clothes washing in the washing up sinks and leaving their stuff in and by the sinks.
