Postwood Gardens Touring Campsite and Country Cabins

Gostou Everything. Beautiful flat field with toilet and shower. Owners very friendly and helpful. Great location with a farm shop and cafe in walking distance. 10 mins max. Liveky forest around 2 sides so lots of wildlife to see on the evenings. Rabbits were entertaining. Uve re booked again as loved it there. We camped but it has 3 statics to hire on site.

Gostou Quiet site with friendly attentive owners. Clean showers and toilets and a very relaxed atmosphere. Great for children to safely run about too. A short walk along the road brings you to a beautiful bridleway out across the Devon fields with fine views and down into the little village where there is a pub and a nice village shop.

Gostou Good sized pitches. Location from motorway.

Não gostou After arriving we had a look at the toilet/shower facilities and took a short walk up the road. We then decided that we wouldn't stay the night and continued our journey on to Cornwall. This site would have only been a stop over for one night but decided one night would be too much. Certainly don't agree with the reviews that give a high rating. Definitely would not consider booking here in the future. Customer service was a text shortly before we arrived so didn't give a very good first impression.

Do gestor: Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear you chose not to stay, especially as your visit was very brief and you didn’t experience the site overnight or explore the village and bridleways, which are located in the opposite direction to the main road you walked towards.

This summer’s prolonged dry weather and the local hosepipe ban have unfortunately affected our grass, wildflower area, and spring planting many of which is now dying. These conditions are outside our control, but we continue to care for the grounds within the restrictions.

Our toilet and shower facilities are cleaned and maintained daily, and we encourage guests to let us know immediately if anything needs attention. We’re pleased that over a hundred guests have shared positive reviews reflecting their experience of our facilities, customer service, and peaceful location and we continue my win awards for customer care year in year out. I rung as soon as I thought there was a problem and you told me there was none.

Gostou Loved the peace and quiet. Friendly people too. Great place to camp and have access to so many different places to visit.

Não gostou Only issue was no hot water on our last day and the shower holder was broken, still managed to shower ok the rest of the week.

Não gostou Not a “dislike” as such but if the site was busy there is only one shower and two toilets per gender, so can imagine big queues for facilities at busy times

Gostou Great little stop over for us and the family on our way south. But is a great site with wide open spaces for any one staying longer realy liked it.

Gostou Super lovely campsite - all nice & flat with lovely mowed grass, lots of shade from the surroundings trees.
The shower & toilet block was clean & tidy, lots of nice hot water
Beautiful setting - short walk to a good local pub in Kentisbeare
Friendly owners keen to make sure we had everything we needed

Gostou Peaceful.

Não gostou Very dated showers and toilet. Only one per sex.
The toilet waste area was a total disgrace. Filthy dirty and overgrown with weeds and tree waste.
Their is absolutely no water pressure from the field tap.

Do gestor: Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, you arrived and left just before we completely revamped the blue and grey water area, so you didn’t see the improvements now in place. We’ve also been dealing with an unusually early fall of leaves and seeds this year due to the hot weather. I can clear the grounds, and within an hour it looks as though nothing has been done — but we do care deeply, and we work hard every day to maintain the site

The extreme heat and hosepipe ban have made things particularly difficult. Many of our spring-planted flowers haven’t survived, and our wildflower area is looking very sad despite our best efforts. This isn’t how we want the site to look, and it’s frustrating because so much of it is out of our control. We put a lot of love into Postwood Gardens, and we’re truly sorry the timing meant you didn’t see the site at its best.
