Lakewell Touring and Camping Site

Gostou Friendliest people you could ever meet, even offered to take us up to the pub in their car! Toilets and showers are exceptionally clean as is the rest of the site. Highly recommend it.

Washing up and laundry facilities had everything you need

The whole site is well looked after

The grass pitches are in great condition

Friendly staff

Outside shower for washing feet/wetsuits is a great idea

Lake is great, it’s a shame we didn’t bring any rods.

There is power to every pitch

It’s nice that there is a dedicated reception area

The track through the site is great

Não gostou It was be good if we were able to let our dog off the lead to tire him out but we understand that some dogs are not friendly/well controlled

No WiFi at the pitch (this can be a good thing though) :)

Child friendliness marked as a 5 as it’s nice not having screaming kids running around 😊

Gostou Everything was great, clean air, facilities all in great condition, welcoming and friendly hosts who couldn't do enough for you. Great location with only a short walk to the bus stop or nearest pub. We will definitely be going back again soon.

Gostou Sherri and Haggis who maintain the site were incredibly kind & passionate- the site is immaculate esp the ablutions/showers which are checked & thoroughly washed down twice a day - the pitches are generously spaced - around the small lake area is a haven of wildlife - i saw a deer on site - there is an off road trail that leads to Perrenporth suitable for bikes/hiking through gorgeous Devon country side - there is a washer & dryer at £1 - fridge & freezer - a communal hub to get out of the rain adjacent to lake - there is nothing i can fault with Lakeside - i originally booked up for 1 night & fell in love with the peace & serenity & nature - i ended up staying the best part of a week - will I return one day? Damn right i will❤️

The reason we do not have a shop on site is so that we don't compete with our own village shop as we would be devastated if we somehow contributed to the loss of this from our local community as many local residents rely on it.
