Solway Holiday Park

Gostou: Only stayed for 1 night on a grass electric pitch but it was a good night, we've already booked again for towards the end of the month. Good entertainment at night for kids and adults, good food at the restaurant and amazing helpful staff. If you want to use the pool, try to book as far in advance as you can but if you pop into the pool reception they might be able to get you in the same day... but its usually the day after. The pitch itself was large but half if it was quite soft, but they give you the option to change if you're not happy with the ground conditions, we managed on the dryer half just fine. Plenty to keep the kids busy but ofcourse a short walk away and you're at the coast so you don't have to stay in the park all the time.

Gostou: Toilets and shower rooms very clean and security on site throughout the night

Não gostou: Pitches right next what looked like a dumbing ground. Park closed and football courts flooded

Gostou: Toilet and shower facilities clean and tidy Pitches were big Entertainment

Não gostou: Some parts of the park look scruffy (leading in to the touring and camping part)

Gostou: good reception on arrival nice entertainment facilities nice clean shower toilet cleaning facilities

Não gostou: park a bit out dated in areas certain areas let it down, some investment in other areas looks very good , its quite a large park and i think a management review of all areas for improvement are required & then prioritized where attention is needed

Gostou: Close to the seafront Very clean showers and toilets Friendly staff I managed to find a quiet spot by the trees Amazing dark skies for stargazing

Não gostou: It's a bit of a trek from the entrance to the touring pitches if you're walking - not a dislike, just an observation.

Gostou: Lovely site Shower block ,toilets Are really nice and clean Staff all friendly the on site chippy was great too and a well stocked shop inside near reception is handy

Não gostou: Only issue we had was there was no pull over dirty dish water disposal place

Gostou: Liked that it was clean and tidy around the site, the toilet and shower blocks were kept clean, entertainment was good and reasonable priced. We will return!

Não gostou: They must of had issues with the electricity so was a massive generator rumbling for the 1st day/night which wasn't nice to sleep too, but can't be helped and was good that the site still provided electric even if it was a loud night! but by the 2nd night they had been but back on the grid so was a much nicer sleep!

Gostou: Swimming pool,restaurant, staff really friendly Shower and toilets immaculate and new

Não gostou: Pitch was little muddy There was a power cut but not the sites fault but not for long and we were offered food and drinks free of charge nice gesture

Gostou: We did not end up staying at this place as they phoned and cancelled our holiday due to a waterlogged touring site and upcoming storm which was due. I really appreciated this piece of information. I cannot comment on the site itself as I said previously we didn't actually end up going but hoping to book back up at a later date

Gostou: Clean site

Não gostou: Not much to do in the area. No beach and once the town is exhausted from a days wandering then it’s a good drive out to get to anything of interest
