Skirlington Leisure Park

Gostou Me and my lad wanted a last minute night away in our caravan and found skirlington. Was in our budget for a 1 night and was surprised at what we got and how clean it was for the money. Will be coming back here over and over again. Would say it’s the cleanest touring site we’ve been to. Entertainments were brilliant. My lad is at old to join in but we had the best time. Thank you.

Gostou Location was good the market was nice to walk round the kids liked the at advades

Não gostou We stayed over the weekend and when we first arrived the staff in the office was very rude in reception one lady in particular, and when we went back on the morning of depart to see about a late check in she was also quite rude again which has really put us of not really helpful just very obnoxious, also the toilets there was a very nasty smell all weekend of the drains and the toilet block wasn’t really clean never saw anyone cleaning them, we use to stay at cliff top and we tried the actual site this time as they r not joined to them no more but us as a family and our friends who stayed with is wont be returning in a hurry it’s gone down hill in our thoughts it’s the little things that count and they are the things that wasn’t good for us they also told us we could t pitch next to our friends on the grass as no space but all weekend there was space next to us and our friends so this wasn’t true what they told us we use to love coming to the site but not this time and we will be tell our other friend a that usually come to of our experience, we also couldn’t get into the entertainment not enough seeing area for the size of the site, the kids came to fish and the fishing pond we saw nothing in there at all but went to a place down the road for the day and was lovely and that one we will be returning to I hope all this is take on board as I think a lot of people we spoke to said the same

Gostou swimming pool was shallow enough even in deep end 1.2m

Não gostou Unfortunately very cramped in site. Stayed on cherry field 28 and I really had worries about health and safety when pitched so close. In terms of fire hazard.

Fire hoses out of order X2 near where we stayed again adding to severe anxiety about being too close together.

To fill water for caravan it was a hold down button very difficult to fill.

No family showers and also having button water in showers make it almost impossible as straight away off if not held.

My children couldn't reach or have strength to push so I ended up in shower with all 3 kids and then no where to all get dried.

Very outdated toilet area broken seats. Ridiculously hot water in tap. Not cleaned enough didn't see anyone cleaning, although must have been as toilet rolls always filled.

Electric scooters / bikes making it difficult for kids to play and are banned no security checking this.

Not enough space set for children to play near to caravans so end up on road or near cars.

£20 for a later check out...
£40 for a extra night... Very expensive prices for not good site.


No WiFi even down in clubhouse no signal on site.

Gostou Lots of facilities including a park and football court for the kids, indoor pool and the entertainment on the evening, which was on the stage outside so great to have a beer outside on a night while the weather was nice

Gostou Great site if you have kids plenty to do for all on site.
Friendly staff and fabulous chipshop would definitely recommend.

Não gostou Our pitch was very small compared to the other pitches we had a fire hidrant there and no room for an awning yet others had awnings and extended windbreakers using lots of space, units were too close together every other site would have classed this as a fire hazard. Our first night in clubhouse my chicken burger was cremated and vile but second night had pie and this was beautiful much better.
Barely any signal both on phone 3 network and WiFi dongle EE network zero signal

Gostou Plenty of facilities and regularly maintained and cleaned.

Não gostou Although it says that it overlooks the beach there is no actual access to it due to coastal erosion. We walked the full coast line of the park and no access to the beach so quite misleading and disappointing. Shouldn't be advertising on thier site about beach days ans sandy walks when the nearest access to the beach is a 10 minute drive away.

Unfortunately, due to natural coastal erosion, direct access from the park is no longer possible, and safety has to be our priority. We do try to make this clear in our information, but we’ll review the wording to make sure it isn’t misleading.

The nearest safe access points are just a short drive away, and our team is always happy to recommend the best local spots for beach days and walks.
