What a lush site this is for gainful countryside holidays in the Lincolnshire countryside, whiling days away fishing, woodland walking and just lazing by the lakeside with open book or one's very own thoughts. There are animals too… Small and family-run Sunflower Park near Gainsborough has taken in quite a few rescue animals in their time (they're a friendly and welcoming lot here), so on site you'll meet the three family pets as well as some alpacas, several ex-battery hens and their strutting cockerel. Also adopted are a family of geese, ducks, Kunekune pigs and a couple of Gloucester old spots: do make sure to say hi to all. As you might guess, this is a relaxed and amiable site, set remotely and rurally on a five-acre plot that includes paddocks, a playground, open pastureland, a private woodland walk and a well-stocked fishing lake exclusively for guests' use. You might reckon the park's remote rural setting makes it a wildlife haven too, and you'd reckon right: its boundaries run directly into Laughton Forest's Tuetoes Wood, a Forestry Commission nature haven for walking and cycling among the trees, and home to wildlife like deer, foxes, owls, rabbits, jays, pheasants, cuckoos, woodpeckers – all within viewable and hearing distance from your pitch. Sunflower Park has toilets, showers, a drying room, a launderette and ice pack freezing. Firepits are available for hire for the whole of guests' stays and arrive full and ready to light. Please note that due to being in a forest location and on sandy ground, you will most likely come across spiders, ants, lizards, grass snakes, beetles etc. Please only book if you are comfortable with the fact that there will be wildlife around you.

Gostou: Nice place felt safe for children to play at the park with other children. My daughter age 6 had a great time on the trampoline and climbing frame. Pitches spaced out and not over crowded as some tents were larger than others. We came here over two years ago and can see the huge renovations the farm has undertaken.

Não gostou: Not really a dislike as the site is out in the countryside but did not appreciate the barking dogs at 2am. (Ear plugs next time) As for the nosey geese, snoring pigs and screeching birds it's all part of the experience and novelty being down on the farm. After reading some of the other reviews I packed bathroom spray and just gave the shower room the once over before use as I would anywhere I go. Site can be quite sandy so may put people off when using the facilities. Would be nice to see some farm produce to purchase like fresh eggs sausages and bacon just an idea as seen at another camp site offering a breakfast pack to cook or cooked pre-ordered the night before as the snack bar was not open at 8am when campers were getting ready to go. Marked down on facilities as not set opening times bar area or snack bar.

Do gestor: Thankyou for kind review and lovely photos. We are an animal rescue centre come campsite. Not a farm come campsite, so don't have produce sorry. We experimented with other suppliers stock in the shop but there wasn't much demand and ended up with wasted stock. We do have published times for the cafe. We serve breakfast from 9am til approx 2.30 depending on demand. The times are published on the side of the decking. You too may have asked. With nearly 10yrs experience there are very few campers that leave at 8am. That said if requested we could have facilitated an early breakfast if required. We do sell our own eggs but this is dependent on our girls and if they are sitting. Hope to see you again. 🌻

Gostou: Very warm welcome, lovely little set up with everything you need animals shop showers even a small bar with food breakfast etc, idilic setting for family's will be back again Michelle .

Gostou: Only went for one night as the weather was good and chose somewhere close last minute booking very welcoming owners plenty to do looking at the animals and had a long walk in the woods will defo be returning for a long weekend stay next time showers and toilets ok and clean plenty of hot water if you like listening to the wildlife and the animals this is a great place to visit cheers John and em

Gostou: Clean facilities. Lovely people running the site. The bar and shop are brilliant. Had a pint of Worthington creamflow and was one of the best I've had for ages. I like this site because the ground is quite sandy. This seems to help in bad weather. Doesn't get as sludgy. We had an issue with a large group making a lot of noise. I sent a text to the owner and within 12 minutes they were quiet as a mouse. 3rd visit to this place and I think we will be back every single year.

If you're an avid animal fan, take time to get to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park just outside Doncaster, home to a menagerie of over 300 from around the world, and to The Deep at Hull, one of the biggest aquariums in the UK and a habitat for over 3000 marine critters. Going south, history buffs can get to Lincoln for eleventh century Lincoln Cathedral, the third biggest in Britain after St Paul's in London and York Minster.
