Gostou Nothing to dislike, 4th time I've stayed at box end. Always clean, relaxed, excellent shower block. Lovely friendly welcome when booking in. You can chill out or enjoy the many water sport facilities on site.

Gostou Nice pitch, I was only there for one night to attend a gig at Tofte Manor. Taxi back from Bedford train station was £11
Toilets and showers were spotless..

Não gostou I was the first pitch in and there was quite a lot of cars coming through until around 1 a.m. soot was noisy. Gates were supposed to be closed at 10.30 but they were still open when I got back at 11.30

Gostou Good sized pitches. Nice, open environment. Nice clean facilities. restaurant and bar on site very good. Great customer service.

Não gostou The apparent "resident" population was a little off-putting. They did not cause any concern, but cosmetically was not comfortable.

Gostou Lovely clean site, recently adding new toilet/shower block..
Friendly checkin staff. Good restaurant/bar on site.
For a chilled break this site is great.

Gostou 3rd visit to box end. Love it. Good size pitches, always a friendly welcome when booking in. U can relax and chill or take part in the various water sports on offer. Lovely clean shower / toilet block. Lovely walks around the site.

Gostou The cafe did great food and drink. The green field was lush! The watersports looked great and very tempted to join in!

Não gostou Other campers which didn’t respect our plot (walked through our camp area at all hours of the day- when we had a toddler to care for), stayed up until 3 singing and had lights shining into our tent- very disrespectful.

Please do make sure to contact our out of hours team if this happens again on your next visit, as we have a strict quiet time between 22:30pm and 07:00am and anyone not adhering to these rules will be asked to leave the site.

Kindly note that all of watersports sessions, including SUP Self-Launch, are lifeguarded sessions and must be pre-booked online using our booking system. No swimming or water access is allowed outside of these time and this does include customers staying on the campsite. We do have a small natural wooden playpark area located just behind our Corner5 bar decking area. Please feel free to ask our reception team on your next visit who would be happy to show you where this is located. We also have a great land based activity suitable for 3yrs + if you'd like to give our Disc & Adventure Football Golf a go on your next campsite stay with us.

Thank you so much for posting your electric card back to us too after this was accidentally taken home - received today and we have processed your £5 deposit refund for you having received this back.

Gostou The site was great, big open space for the tents and lots of space for the kids to run around. The toilet and shower facilities look very new and were always clean. The activities at Box End, such as the Aquapark and Wakeboarding were brilliant to watch whilst relaxing outside the tent and provided extra entertainment for the kids, even if they were too young to take part.
The small cafe option, operating out of a shipping container by the lake is perfect for lunch, ice creams and drinks, nothing fancy but very decent.
They have begun creating a lovely walking path around the lake of 5km which is really nice for an evening stroll through the grass meadows, watching the wildlife and views.

Não gostou It's always a little sad not to be able to have a campfire whilst camping.
The tent pitches are very exposed to the wind coming off the lake. The electric pitches have some protection from hedges and trees separating each pitch site. So make sure your ropes are secure!
If you want to eat in the larger restaurant, I would suggest that you book in advance!

We completely appreciate a campfire does add to the experience however, unfortunately open fires and fire-pits are not allowed on-site to ensure everyone's safety whilst camping with us on our flat and grassy pitches, especially during those windy and dry weather days. BBQs are allowed on campsite pitches as long as they are raised nice and high off the ground and they're stable. Our restaurant is super popular all year round so we'd completely agree about pre-booking a table if you'd like to dine in the Corner5 Restaurant for our lunch or dinner service during your stay. Gostou The friendly and welcoming staff. The campsite was well thought out, and toilet and shower block was very clean. The food at the restaurant tasted amazing and was well presented
