Gostou Friendly, considerate owner, good pitches, cafe on site, close to decent walks, plenty to explore, shop within 10 minutes walk. Showers and toilets clean and tidy.

Gostou Site is in a quiet, countryside location with easy access to nearby coast and to Whitby, Goathland (Heartbeat country) and to Guisborough. Pitches were well allocated and a good size. Facilities excellent value for the price including fridge freezers for storage if required. Toilets and showers were kept clean by the hard working, very welcoming site owner Liz who was often around or contactable by mobile. Good site for families with space for the children to play.

Não gostou Getting stuck in a toilet because the next cubicle door flung open and the handles got stuck preventing the door of mine opening. Being claustrophobic to a degree, I panicked but another camper fortunately heard my shouts for help and rescued me! Not sure what can be done but just want people to be aware if you use the toilet next to the showers and it's windy!

Gostou The well kept grass areas making it obvious where to pitch our tent, the friendliness of the owners, the facilities provided, toilets and showers were much better than the normal provided for this price of pitch. Also the availability of a fridge freezer and microwave should we have needed them. Loved the piglets and the free range chickens. We only stayed one night this time but look forward to returning for longer. Although the road noise was noticeable it didn't prevent us having a very good night's sleep. The willow trees were beautiful and we were impressed with the idea behind them. Thank you for a very pleasant night's camping.

Gostou Ease of finding site, hospitality of owners, cleanliness of facilities. Plenty of space. Outdoor furniture was useful. Composting toilets were well maintained and better than those we've come across before. We followed the footpath that goes across the site into the woods, it was an adventure and brought us out into Charlesworth, and then approx 25 minutes walk back along the road. In Charlesworth there was a great village store called Village Greens selling a wide range of fruit and veg as well as having a fish section. Further down the hill I was "in heaven" when we came across the wool shop!! The scenery around the area was beautiful considering we weren't far from Hyde, Stockport and Manchester.

Gostou Owners hospitality was excellent from start to finish, very kind, friendly people. Choice of pitch in a semi wooded area or in the open. Views were brilliant, a footpath took us to the Great Northern Railway Trail along which we walked to Thornton Viaduct (was part of a scene in Last of the Summer Wine apparently) and then looped round to a beautiful view of the viaduct from School Woods. On the way back we stopped for tea and cake at Junction Lodge (open Weds to Sun 9-4). The campsite was quiet, portaloo was kept clean and there was a tap providing pleasant tasting drinking water. Also a disposal area is provided, and bins. For a semi-wild campsite it is perfect. Nearly forgot to mention that there were eggs and jam available in a little wooden box. Thank you Heather and Mick for creating such a great space.

Gostou We picked this site as it was at the end of the Staffs and Worcs canal which we had been walking. Basic but adequate site, with lovely views and a farm shop with cafe across the road. The Caretaker was helpful and welcoming. Would stay here again.

Gostou Lovely peaceful site, apart from hearing the birds the horses and other animals. Fully in the countryside but close enough to visit Worcester or Malvern easily.
