Our first ever camping trip and it was excellent. Brilliant site with hook up, fantastic facilities. Kids loved the pool, staff available to assist, and also offered recommendations for surrounding activities. Have already recommended site to family and we will definitely be back. Thank you

That I had to choose hook up when I didn't need it, making it £40 a night!!!!
That you couldn't access toilets or showers unless the pool was open. We went to look 4 times and the gates were locked, due to private lessons or keep fit session. A little outside toilet with key code would be a great investment.
The site was boggy and we got the van stuck in the mud.

Lovely quiet site. The park and swimming pool was amazing.
Run by volunteers who do an amazing job.

Field is quite muddy when it rains.
Electric can cut off if too many appliances are on.

Friendly and helpful volunteer staff. Close proximity to railway statuion and local CoOp store.

Small crowded field with limited space. Services were some way away and only of average/poor standard being shared with the swimming pool csutomers. The use of the pool which was not included in the pitch fees. No facility for disposal of grey water.
Some of the field was not accessible due to recent rainfall which had left a part of the site very muddy and no doubt would have led getting stuck and needing a tow out.
Considering the cost - £40 p/n I expected much better and was disappointed.

The site in general and the facilities. The site manager was really friendly and helpful when we had an issue with another group singing karaoke style after 11pm.

Some areas of the site become boggy when it rains so end up being condensed into a smaller area.

Site was waterlogged so we were emailed to ask if we could camp just outside the campsite and they would provide extension for electric hookup. We agreed and Moho got stuck in ground. We didn’t realise they had parked us in what was a public carousel with numerous cars parking right next to van. It was very noisy as right next to kiddies park with some children playing at 6am. We eventually were able to get the van pulled of the grass and onto a pitch for the last couple of days.

The organisation of pitches wasn’t great. This was unmanned campsite and you were not allocated a pitch. This is all explained on the when you booked so can’t complain was more the ignorance of other campers.

It is set in a lovely village the site is back from the road
with easy access to a river. The shop is only 10min walk and has everything thing you need. Great playground for the kids and the pool is fantastic. We had an issue with a noisy group of campers however after emailing the site manager it was addressed swiftly, with no further problems.

The only toilets are in the pool area so you need to walk out of the site, which is a long way in the early hours with small children. Also the pool opening hour for kids is limited.
