Lovely site, kept clean, friendly staff

Pitches aren't allocated so if someone pitched wrong it can be hard for you to pitch up

Small site with easy access to very clean facilities. Every volunteer we spoke to was incredibly kind and helpful. Lovely feel at the campsite.

It was our 5th visit back at Lazonby Campsite. Sadly, had a few issues and confusions this time but still hoping to return.
Facilities were clean. The pitches were taken care of. We felt secure during the night. Lovely town in a lovely spot.

The website and volunteers in the past have always made well clear that the site has toilet/shower blocks for campers. The website does not say that campers do not have use of those during school hours when private bookings have been taken. As a family that includes people with disabilities - this was really disappointing.
The teachers with the private booking from Armathwaite School were awful people with absolutely disgusting behaviour infront of children. The volunteers DID try to help as best they could.
It would be absolutely perfect if there was toilet facilities closer to the camping pitches and maybe had the area upgraded with mobile phone signal.

A small, basic field campsite with use of the toilets and showers at the outdoor pool 2 minutes walk away. These were kept sparkling clean! The pitches even had electrical hook up so what more was needed? There’s no wifi but I had a reasonable phone signal considering the rural location. I went there specifically to use the pool but the campsite didn’t disappoint. The campsite itself is unmanned but plenty of lovely & friendly volunteers working at the pool.

The vehicle access gate was supposed to be locked at night for our security but it wasn’t.

Quiet, safe, friendly pitch next to playground and outdoor pool. Close to train line and supermarket

Too far to facilities and ridiculously expensive at £55 for 1 nights camping on a very basic site

The site was really clean and the volunteer staff were friendly and efficient. The facilities were clean. I really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning. The river Eden is fast flowing and beautiful and literally next to the campsite. The park and swimming made it one of the kids new favourite places to camp. It's about a 15min drive to Penrith which has a castle and lovely shops. The site is very small which I liked. There is a drinking water tap on the field.

It is a small walk to the toilets along a dark path but we got used to it quickly.
