Adventurous types, unite, and make your way to Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park. This is the type of place where holidaymakers can hike all day long, and it's peaceful too, on the banks of the river Gwyrfai with views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains and the north Wales countryside. There are walking routes directly from the site – good news for those with dogs or a lust for adventure. One of the UK’s longest heritage railways, the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways, passes through the site on its 25-mile journey past the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). You might want to board it yourself Caernarfon (10 minutes’ drive) and see if you can spot your patch of land as you pass by. That’s after you’ve experienced one of the boat trips that run along the Menai Strait from the quayside below Caernarfon Castle, of course. There’s a very generous serving of facilities at Bryn Gloch Caravan and Camping Park, from heated bathrooms and wifi to playgrounds and a games room. The pitches are spacious, giving you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery.

Gostou Large site with lots to do. We stayed 2 nights and we didn’t leave! 2 play parks and the river was more than enough to keep the kids entertained. Pitch was great and views beautiful.

Não gostou We were close to 5 toilets and showers but this did get busy with queues so there was another block of toilets you could walk to but took longer. On site cafe open hours were changeable and then closed 1 of the days we were there.
Very busy at the play parks at night
It was pricey for 2 nights

Gostou Pitches are generous sizes we had a gravel and grass fully serviced pitch, the way they were situated you didn't feel like you were on top of the next caravan/motorhome. We didn't use any of the facilities on site as we chose this site as we wanted to walk up Snowdon and it was quite close to The Ranger Path and had a bus stop right outside the site. We walked back down Llanberis path and got a taxi back to the site (£25) at a reasonable price for four adults and a dog. We noticed a coffee van that was selling fresh coffee and breakfast rolls as we were leaving for our climb on site and think they also served other food. The showers and toilets were clean and shower blocks on each section.

Não gostou We travelled in a motorhome with four adults and a dog for two nights and thought it was quite pricey in comparison to what we usually pay going south. We paid £170 as they charge per person I believe plus add on for awnings and dogs.

Gostou Lovely area .. just a few miles from the snowden ranger path .. stunning river running right next to the camp amazing walks .. very good food truck on site and a small shop clean toilets and showers

Não gostou Pitch sizes could of been a little bigger i think

Think they could do with a couple more shower blocks

Gostou Lovely level pitch with plenty of room and not far from bathrooms with nice hot showers and dishwashing facilities. Bryn Gloch accommodated our little family group so that we could camp together. The campsite is in beautiful surroundings. All of the staff were very friendly and nothing but helpful and the takeaway food from the little mobile food unit was ideal the evening before we had to pack up to go home. Staff recommended the C3 bus to Caernarfon so we could have a lovely lunch at The Black Boy with a couple of drinks after a walk round the magnificent castle. The bus stops at the site entrance (needs flagging down) at 20 min past the hour. Get off/back on (also 20 past the hour)outside Iceland supermarket (handy for a few provisions on the way back) for the castle/town centre. Super spot for walking up Snowden. Highly recommended.

Não gostou Just remember - no one can filter inconsiderate people from booking any holiday. It’s just bad luck if they turn up during your stay.

Gostou Excellent facilities, the ground are kept very nicely and the toilet and shower block was clean and well stocked.
The staff were warm and welcoming - super helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will be back again!

Gostou Loved how clean it was
All the staff were so friendly and you could tell they actually enjoyed working at the campsite
Tipsy trailer was a great addition
Ice cream van that came right outside your tent also!
And then the views were stunning
We had such a good time and will definitely be on the list to return

Não gostou We were camping on field 6 and behind the hedges, near the path to go to the stream (on a different field) there was a family who I believe stayed there quite often in their caravan and they was so so loud at night and quite late on into the night too. We didn’t hear anyone tell them to quieten down even though the rules say quiet time should be from 9pm I believe? Tbf we didn’t complain either so can’t blame the staff but just an FYI if you are on field 6 near the hedges you may be up all night listening to them

Visit the grave, take in the views from the Aberglaslyn Pass (15 minutes) and then visit the Sygun Copper Mine (20 minutes) to learn more about the conditions in 19th-century mines. Adventurous types can tackle the fastest zipwire in the world at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (half an hour). With underground trampolines based in slate caverns, you’re likely to work up a sweat. GreenWood Family Park (20 minutes) has traditional rides, including family-friendly rollercoasters. Where next? Perhaps Caernarfon Airport (25 minutes), where there’s an aviation museum and pleasure flights along the Menai Strait and around Snowdon?
