Getting to Croft Glamping Cabins has a bit of a magical vibe to it – you’ll enter the village of North Newton via the ‘fairy glades’, follow the stream through the village and then make your way up a grassy track to find your new little home tucked away in the orchard. And what awaits in this splendid Somerset location is just as magical, as you’ll be staying in a cute little timber lodge in a secluded spot among the apple trees. It’s a very private spot – and peaceful too. There’s just the one cabin here, so you won’t have to share the space with anyone at all other than the dragonflies, birds and other wildlife that can usually be spotted around the place. There's a pub a couple of minutes' walk away, and with 25 minutes of walking, you can also reach Somerset Boat Centre and gorgeous canal walks. The cabin comes with a comfortable kingsize bed for two adults, and a pop-up child's bed (with bedding included) or a pop-up child's tent (again, provided with a bed and bedding) are available for an additional fee. Thoughtfully designed, the cabin has a fully fitted carpet, a lovely log burner-style heater and lots of soft furnishings to keep everything cosy. Cotton bed linens, blankets, fluffy towels and robes are all provided to make things nice and simple; for an extra touch of luxury you may like to add things like a hot tub or hampers to your booking (for an extra fee). Meanwhile, outside the cabin there’s a large wraparound deck with an overhanging porch (for shade in the warmer months and shelter at cooler times) and an outdoor table with fairy lights for a bit of atmosphere. It’s just the spot for a couple of drinks or dinner – a kitchenette is inside (with cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster) to help sort either option.

Gostou Excellent stay. Cabin is lovely. Very peaceful, private and quite. Hot tub a great bonus. Pub and canal walks minutes from the cabin. Great hosts with perfect directions and very responsive communication. Can't wait to return.

Gostou Our hosts Helen and Rod were so helpful and welcoming , showed us around and how everything worked .
The cabin was very clean and cosy but had everything you need.
Even towelling robes and towels provided .
The hot tub was so relaxing after a day sight seeing , and we enjoyed the firepit and the bbq aswell.
The outside shower had plenty of hot water and the fairy lights on the deck created a nice ambience in the evening.

Gostou Our stay at Croft cabin was lovely & just what we needed! The cabin was clean & tidy with everything we needed provided.
We especially enjoyed everything about the outside space, seating was comfortable & covered from the heat, bbq, hot tub & the privacy. Local pub was friendly & only a few minutes walk away.

Gostou Our second stay here, such a beautiful place! We stayed in September and this time returned with a 4 year old - with a fold up bed which fit comfortably at the end of the main bed. The cabin is well equipped with everything you might need, microwave, hot plate, kettle, fridge and heater for when it gets chilly. The garden is lovely, bbq and fire pit with ample seating places. The hosts are great and easily contactable. We all had the best time and would highly recommend, love this place!

Gostou Our stay at Croft Glamping Cabins was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing and comfortable experience.
Arrival & Directions:
The directions provided were clear and easy to follow, with helpful photos along the way that made finding the site stress-free. The signage was visible, and the route was scenic, adding to the excitement of arriving.

Cabin Comfort & Amenities:
The cabin itself was incredibly cozy and well-equipped. It had everything we needed—from a fully stocked kitchenette to comfortable bedding and a clean, modern bathroom. The welcome info pack inside the cabin was a lovely touch, offering useful details about the cabin, local attractions, and nearby walks.

Jacuzzi Bliss:
The private jacuzzi was a highlight of our stay! It was spotless, easy to use, and perfectly positioned for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was a magical experience.

Local Area:
The location is ideal for exploring the countryside, with plenty of walking trails and nature spots nearby. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or an active getaway, Croft Glamping Cabins is a perfect base.

Gostou This place is gorgeous, very secluded and lovely and cosy.
It was warm inside when we arrived with all of the things you'd need to get your trip started.
The hot tub was lovely and clean and ready for when we got there.
And the communication from Helen was amazing.
We will definitely be booking again!

This might be a very secluded little cabin but it’s actually surprisingly well connected, as it’s only about five minutes’ stroll from the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal (a lovely place for a walk on the towpath) and about 15 minutes’ drive from Bridgwater or the Quantock Hills National Landscape. While you’re in the area, you may also like to have a go on the water yourselves from the Somerset Boat Centre (five minutes’ drive), catch a match at Somerset County Cricket Club (15 minutes) or head north to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole (40 minutes). Urban wanderings might take you to the likes of Taunton (15 minutes), Glastonbury (35 minutes) or Wells (45 minutes), each of which has its own character. If it’s shopping bargains you’re after, maybe a trip to Clarks Village (half an hour) should be on the cards as well.
