Widdicombe Farm Touring Park

Gostou Brilliant place to stay. Lady in reception was lovely, very welcoming and helpful.The facilities were clean,in good repair and reassuring to use. I am visiting my elderly mother who has dementia so not a holidaymaker but it was just brilliant. I could come back to my microcamper with my dog and completely relax.Please thank the "Team".We will definitely be back.

Não gostou Nothing really. Just struggled with knocking my tent pegs into gravel with a rubber mallet,but that's probably my inexperience.😁

Gostou The staff and owners couldn't of been more friendly and helpful fantastic people the on site mini bus with it's alternative runs to Paignton and torquay made day visits stress free the site was spotless poppies restaurant was very reasonable priced and the food was gorgeous not forgetting the pizza van man freshly cooked and gorgeous grate entertainment in the club I would highly recommend weddicombe farm

Do gerente: We do state we are off the main road with easy access and no narrow lanes to negotiate and this is a trade off in some respects to proximity to the road and some people being more sensitive to any road noise than others. Wind direction and road conditions also will have a bearing on sound levels. Hopefully, this will not deter you from returning.

Gostou Pub & Restaurant being on site. Helpful friendly staff. Clean facilities too.

Não gostou Pitch was a little small to fit car, caravan & awning on & a little tight to manoeuvre.
Also the extra charge for an awning is a little off putting. If you book a pitch most sites don’t charge extra. Some sites charge for full awning but not a porch awning like ours but don’t entirely agree with that either. Charges for shuttle bus too expensive too. Also extra charges for WiFi excessive

Not sure where you were pitched but next time if you ensure we have the correct information we will endeavour to get you on the right size pitch. As far as our pricing and tariffs go an awning whether porch, 3/4 or full is an awning. We do not include it in our standard pitch prices as this is unfair for those without awnings. The minibus is very good value for money for a door to door service in comparison with the local taxi companies but we appreciate your views on this.

Gostou Fantastically run well organised friendly site,
Facilities very clean and no press button shower which was amazing. Food was lovely from the little restaurant and the BQ and also the breakfast man. Entertainment every night so take some cash with you. Dog field was great dogs loved it also there's a nice stroll down the bridle path to the village pub. Pitchs nice size your not on top of anyone else. There is also a shuttle bus that will take you to Torquay and Paignton if there is enough to fill the bus, brilliant idea. All in all can not fault this campsite.

Do gerente: We have so much to offer and you have enjoyed much of it which we would hope would out weigh any negatives. The ANPR can be sensitive to some registrations but it is a necessary system to help maintain park security. There is always someone around to assist outside of office hours. Security of our guests and their property is important to us so apologies if it was being a little temperamental with your vehicle registration.

Gostou Lovely location, staff friendly, excellent pitches, adults only, showers were fabulous and spotlessly clean. Good, reasonably priced food from onsite eatery. Good onsite bar also.

Não gostou A380 close/a bit noisy and getting on to road from site is tricky.
Onsite bar only open sporadically.

Do gerente: Very pleased to see you liked so much about us. The only reason the bar wasn't open every night was only due to lack of demand in low season. Weekend opening wasn't affected. There are obvious advantages to no narrow lanes but yes you just have to be a little patient on exiting from Widdicombe Lane onto the main road. So glad that overall you enjoyed your time and and we're very pleased to note you will return. We shall look forward to seeing you.
